I loved this toy. Also put my dad's Motley Crue tape in Casey. He can sing.......loved the nickelodeon bump by the way.

I don’t know why, but the Santa Claus Will Be Here Real Soon part always cracked me up. Probably because he says it with such conviction that you almost believe it.

Me too. My buddies and I in high school used to laugh about that. Casey was a shameless promoter at Christmas time 😂

Somewhere down the line, at around the :30 mark, they added a voiceover indicating that Casey works with all your tapes as well. That was when I realized that his mouth was merely a digital sound meter.

I used to have one of these when I was a child back in the 80s. Next to the NES, Casey was my favorite thing to play with...lol Now that I'm in my 40s I decided to relive some of my childhood memories and end up purchasing one off of eBay and I'm falling in love with this toy all over again 30 plus years later...lol

lol...that's funny I did do that. I was 5 or 6 years old and I played Wham cassette, Janet Jackson Control album, and some others. I used Casey for reading too.

I had one casey looked funny doing nwa songs.

my stepson loved his casey at first, but as he got older, he punched its' face in a tantrum and smashed the LCD, and I don't blame him one bit

Sorry if I hadn't come back with you on this, I just discovered this message right now. I'm thinking $30. I haven't put new batteries in to see if it still plays but he still has the tape he came with (not the book).

Koopa zev Thanks, I still need to find some D batteries to stick in this thing to see if it works. One of the battery connector thingys inside has rust on it I noticed. 30 years can sure take its toll on these things.

2XL! MAN, I wanted 1 of those SO bad when they were brand new! Was going around in KB-Toys and mom was like, “You don’t need 1 of those. You already have something like it.”, which is technically true because years back I was around 5, I think, I asked Santa at our mall for a Casey.
