I wish every aircraft work place was like that ,but unfortunately some are not and mistakes are made although it's rare ,but mistakes are made and sometimes it can cost lives ,although I must state again it's extremely rare.

Who is paying for the holiday? CASA? paper shufflers including ALL public servants only get to shuffle paper because why? Because of actual REAL work done by engineers/maintenance folks and manufacturers and producers of actual product. When there are real problems to sort out, taking a holiday is something only an idiot would do. Taking time to trouble shoot and plan, even if done away from the airfield is still not taking a holiday.
