Those haulouts are really interesting, yet cool. Never would have thought to repurpose an old tractor like that.

I am surprised he's not cutting the green off the top before it goes into the chopper. Take some load off the extraction fans which means you can operate them at lower rpm for less cane billet losses.

Aerial Ag You know me always curious, what is that white pipe from the engine dept to the RH side of the cab and up? To small to be exhaust or air intake. Did this farmer make these S.P. wagons himself or is there a company that builds them?

Wonder if these rigs are farm built or an after market fab shop, nice use of the 9000 work horse as a base, i assume the additional work to go from 4x4 to 6x6 would be quite pricey, this set up would predominantly just repurpose tractor parts.

Hmm, very nice vid all round. This is the first time I have seen these 3-axle machines in action, I'm slightly surprised they are not AWD like the 40+ ton 'dump-trucks' they use on road building, and I think they look a bit odd with that 'trailing wheel'. It is rather a 'specialised' vehicle but then then I suppose you could say that about the 'cane cutter' and a lot of other agricultural machinery. Look at those haul wagons they used in the Barbados - now they were a bit OTT.

I know other countries use these but they harvest sugar cane almost year round. I guess they can justify having these used for 3 months or have another use for them after the season.

@Armand Keller. - Quite agree, after a while green gets boring, - mind you there is more than one make that's green. Personally I rather like some of these 'black' ones that are appearing here and their.

Yea, I have other Deere videos ready to go but decided to try and mix it up a bit. There's just a lot of Deere around me since the JD plant is in the city I live in. I found these haulouts to be especially interesting too.
