    Is it possible to run a coil shock with this link on a 21+ evo? Specialzied says the evo is not coil shock compatible. Also, what travel is that zeb fork? Would it make sense to run 170 zeb fork on evo with your link installed? Thanks!

    Just a little info on the alloy the spacers on the chainstay to the link are not the same as the shock and link. They are more similar to the pivot and link where as they don’t get pressed in. So keep your spacers and bolts organized from where they came from If you’re installing these yourself use the same suggestion of grease and holding the spacers while you slide the chainstay onto the link.

    will SAG change... meaning can we run more plush than stock for top of stroke compliance yet still benefit at bottom of stroke to resist bottom outs?

  • @CascadeComponents

    @CascadeComponents

    Жыл бұрын

    I suppose it depends on how you look at it. If you were to keep the air pressure exactly the same as before the sag will increase. If you set sag to be the same as before the air pressure will be higher but it will still be more supple and then much harder to bottom out. So I guess no matter what it makes top of travel more sensitive and then how much of travel it's more sensitive fore can be tuned with sag.

    I want to get one of these for my 2020 stumpy ST and I know on the website it talks about 210x50/52.5mm shock mounts but mine is a 190x45mm, does that make any difference in compatibility?

  • @CascadeComponents

    It doesn't change compatibility. The ST and the regular Stumpjumper use the same link. The only difference is the shock and shock yoke.

    I just got the WRP yoke for my ( mixed wheel) evo. I'm all torso and short legs so i don't like a full 29r. I'm going to install the WRP this week. I'm wondering if the WRP yoke, with the Cascade link will on my mixed wheel will be overkill? I'm a heavy rider at 225-230lbs. I'm thinking with both I might need shorter cranks. Don't really know. I can't find anything on line about both.

    I have a Cascade Link on my 2019 Stumpy Evo and now I have a 2021 Evo. I'm trying to get on coil and I think I'm going to have to get on this cascade link too. Is the increase in rear travel from this linkage a byproduct of increasing the progression of the suspension? Or is it technically possible to accomplish the increased progressivity via a custom linkage while maintaining the 150mms of rear travel? Just curious really but I haven't felt like I needed additional travel back there.

  • @CascadeComponents

    @CascadeComponents

The anodising colour im not sure they can give you the colour you want if they are not making them anymore as they were a few months ago but hey raw aluminium looks pretty darn good anyways and you can always spray paint it the colour you want at home with a bit of patience to mask the bearings !!
