😊 Such kind words. Thank you so much! I'm glad you found my channel too! I hope it is filled with information that you can use. Even though my rig is small...everything has its place. You just have to learn to maximize what you have and not bring everything and the kitchen sink! There are TONS of ways to maximize space. Think...smaller versions of stuff. Like instead of a full cutting board, I use a bamboo trivet that is for my Omnia Oven. If it has more than one use...chances are, it's in my van!!! LOLOL Stay safe out there and happy trails to you as well.

Thank you so much! Everything is small but mighty! In such a small space you have to look at practicality as well as function. It’d it doesn’t serve a purpose…it’s out! LOL. Have to be comfortable without tripping over “stuff”. That would make your trip less enjoyable. Thank you for the compliment and I’m glad you liked it!

Hiya from Minnie Pearl CC #283! It's interesting how different folks set-up their vans. I do wish you would have shown how you get the bed back to couch mode - that's one thing i struggle with being an older lady with short arms and not much arm strength. In fact if I'm not traveling with my dog I only pull the bed out about 3/4 so I can easily push it back without getting out of the van - thanks!
@OutdoorDashTravels
Жыл бұрын
Oh man!!! Go to the back of the van! Easily pull up the back and just inch it a little further up to get you hands by the fridge and then…pull it back! You will hear it click! Give it a try! It slides pretty effortlessly on the track. While I’m the van. Put the mattress half on top of the other. Then (The right side of the bed platform is slanted a bit and I bend over with my elbow resting on the back of the driver’s seat) grab it midway, pull up the back up and then use my knees to push the bed back in.
Very nice everything you need and very organized love it reminds me of our travel van ours is a 1995 gmc vandura and looks like it did inside in 1995 too and it’s so fun ❤️

Great video! So many ideas! How did you attach the hinges to the kitchen cabinet and how big were the hinges/board? Thanks for the inspiration!
@OutdoorDashTravels
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gina! The board is 26” long and 10” wide. They are held in by two “heavy duty” hinges that are attached to the cabinet and the board. I then sanded, rounded the corners then used a clear polyurethane to seal it. It “rattled when driving so I attached some small bungee cords to keep it in place and no more rattle. Hope this helps.

Just curious did they offer a lithium battery set up? I seriously thought about Cascade Camper Van as they are made in Grass Valley area, an hour away from where I live. I ended up with the Pleasure Way Tofino. I started minivan but wanted to stand up. Truly it would be nice to have both, one for short trips and the bigger one for longer ones. Good job on the video!
@OutdoorDashTravels

They Just switched up the electrical on this conversion. So now it can come with Lithium, bigger fridge and a 1 gallons grey water holding tank. You can upgrade the solar to 220W (110w standard) and the inverter (which is 400w standard) to 1000w. Of course the base price has gone up because they are using lithium now. I believe standard is $9800+the Ram Promaster City Cargo Van 2015 or newer.
Hello! Can you please kindly advise on what insurance companies would offer coverage for a cascade camper/van conversion? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sure. It’s about 36” (3 feet) from the couch to the ceiling. I’m 5’2” (62 inches) and I move about the rig hunched over nicely. Sitting down on the couch is so comfortable sitting straight up I have PLEANTY of head space. I also sit with my back against the drivers seat with my legs towards the back window. Great for movie night on the back doors with my screen. The bed in couch mode is 75” long by 21” wide (seat), 25” high (back). The bed folded out is 75” long by 43” wide (accounts for 3” wheel well). Hope this helps!
