I really wish I was of Mexican descent. I am so fascinated by the rich cultural history of Mexico and mariachi just makes me so happy every time I listen to it.

I feel you, but at the same time it’s a culture deeply filled with loss, sadness, conflict, visceral awareness of death and the darkest parts of humanity. I think that’s why the culture is so vivid, colorful and passionate, because it’s pure rawness.
