Thank you so much. There doesn't seem to be a lot of turned carving on you tube. This was really informative.
Thank you for your time and an excellent video, the bowls look amazing Keep posting Tony
Very good information. It's much appreciated!
Good simple design that really adds to the bowl
superfluous my favorite word.
Tank you Ernie, it has cleared up my mind about carving a bowl
i've wondered how the fluting was done ... alot of prep work to start. thank you for showing us the steps.
Brill! This answers my question about how you do a diagonally fluted bowl. I was trying to think of a way of doing it with a router but couldn't work it out! I guess if you could hold the piece at an angle it might be possible but then only in a staright line fashion. Thanks for sharing.

I am so dumb! It's simple if you can't hold the workpiece at an angle then let the router travel at an angle! Now all I've got to do is design a jig that let's me do just that - safely and securely!
Outstanding video great way to enhance most any turning or even a woodworking project, great self gratification, if you're into craft shows for some extra money you'll get a lot of complements but not much monetary return for your time.
Interesting video, do you have any problem carving into the burl? with it's grain going in all directions? Thanks again for showing your video, clear and concise... perfect. Take care. Cheers Andy Yorkshire, England
What is that vice that rotates? I think I heard Emmerick? I know it's a pattern maker's vice, but doesn't look like it tilts. I know this an old vid, but i hope you see it!
Gracias!
