I’m sorry if this is to much information… but I’m a recovering alcoholic/ addict with a daughter on the way next month .. and seeing videos like this inspires me to grow more and apply myself in different art trades like leathering and small wood working .. Hi Eric, honestly I’m still working with a lot of my Amazon start pack tools(it came with really everything you need to start) … the thread that came in the pack turned out to be my favourite thread. And as for leather check Tandy out… they have reasonable price leather for decent quality. Good practicing stuff. I always work with 9-10oz natural vegtan.. (a little trickier to work with bc it’s so thick)

I was wondering what thickness you typically used I was thinking it was 5-6 I'm glad you told me it was 9-10. One question apart from your amazing work, are you working a truck full time and doing all this because that blows my mind. When I get off I just want to sleep!🤣

Thanks so much :) I make my own patterns for the sheath itself.. and for the design, I ask the client to send me images of what they like and then I transfer it to the leather as best as possible :)
