Carvin Meets Eric Johnson PART 1 ! 1998 Carvin Bolt gets Eric Johnson Pickups
So I have decided to change the AP 11 pickups of my Carvin Bolt 1998, and install Eric Johnson's. We are changing the voice of the guitar. In this first video you can see the soldering, etc... In a second video we will set it up and play it.

Hola Jorge! Voy a subir un video con una prueba de sonido, aunque haré también covers, etc.. Cuando yo la compre en 1998 casi nadie tenia Carvin en España...curiosamente había mas bajos Carvin que guitarras....Gracias!
Those Carvin guitars have always been very impressive to me. Never played one I didn't like.

Hey Wrecker! Yes..and think about it, it was Spain 1998, Carvin was not really a brand very well known back then...I was only one of the few locals playing Carvin! Thanks for checking!

@CesarAllGuitar Yeah man, friend of mine has a superb les paul copy Carvin from that Era. I been trying to buy it but, he won't let go of it. He hasn't even played for the last 15 years! Maybe one day I'll get it.

The new Kiesels are very nice as well. I ordered a Delos last year and the fit & finish and tuning stability are really first rate.

I would like some advice: I would like to change the volume and tone potentiometers (which don't work properly), of my jazz guitar bought used (Ibanez AFJ81), with only one Seymour Duncan SH-2N pickup. I would like to’ buy 2 quality potentiometers that fit there. What do you advise me?

Thanks Antonio! To my knowledge, the Murphy Labs are re-issues with different levels of relicing - aging ( there are light aged, heavily aged, etc... ) guitars. And the R9 are 1959 reissues, respecting all the specs of the 1959 Les Pauls...

Sabes Antonio...nunca he sido muy amigo de hacer que guitarras nuevas parezcan viejas...a mi lo del relicing no me ha gustado nunca. En fin....
