Very nice carving. I checked out your etsy site--Excellent work, sir! Don't worry too much about the video techniques--I'm sure it is learned gradually through experience like carving. Your explanations while laying out the design and your carving are first rate. Many thanks! Bob

Your carving is great! but the video was recorded vertically and uploaded horizontally, then don't appear the upper part.

Thanks for the input. Not sure how that happened, other than I don’t know what I’m doing, lol. I’ll definitely work on that when I get a chance to record again

How / where do you get a block that is cut similar to a triangle??

I split 2x2” pieces on the diagonal using a bandsaw. Doug Linker has a video showing how to make a jig to make this cut. If you don’t have a bandsaw I know Heineke Wood Products will sell precut ones

I liked your carving but your gloved thumb was blocking what you were doing and your project was out of the picture frame. Just thought you would want to know, Johnathan. Nice pirate.

Nice! I always looking for new ideas but you need to find a way to make a better video. You’re outside the screen very often.

Yeah, I’m working on improving my set up. I wasn’t able to see the screen using the tripod I had in order to monitor things
