I love this incredible Wickett and Craig old world harness leather. It makes superb belts, regular or cartridge.
This is a ranger style cartridge belt. (Identified by the billet and chape sewn and riveted over the body of the belt.) A very traditional style that came into being with the development of brass cartridges for firearms.

But you could perhaps explain what you are doing and why if you used a few words. Information on your choice of leather, the weight used, your edge finishing products etc would be useful rather than just your breathing.

Very nice looking belt. Do you use a specific pattern?

I was wondering about the rivets...you placed the billet rivets before you did the lining, but the cartridge strap rivets after the lining. Is there a reason why you went in that order? Beautiful work, by the way, but you probably get that a lot! Working on a cavalry draw ranger style belt and holster myself, love watching your work for inspiration!

Very nice work, thank you for sharing. If I may ask, how wide is the base piece of leather that the two billets and bullet slots are attached to. The buckle billet and hole billet look to be 2" wide, which would suggest that the wider belt they are attached to would be maybe 3.5-4 inches wide. Thanks again. I learn from these type of videos so I appreciate you sharing your skills on video.

The splitter is a CS Osborne #84 splitter, they’re a nice piece of kit but they’ve become fairly pricey, you could expect to pay around $1000.00 or more.
