I can't get this to work. Does the flexibility of the bottle or the width of the bottle affect it?

I have applied the experiment with my students and you have to fill the bottle with water right to the neck of it. Let's say 2 cm below the bottle mouth. Try it in a 1 L ( 600 ml is hard for the kids to squeeze) coca cola bottle and use at least 3 clips. I made the version of straws a clips. Good luck.
