You have to realize the context of this sermon. He was preaching this the Sunday after the twin towers fell. Times square Church, the church he was preaching at and the head preacher of, that church was within blocks of ground zero. He was preaching to people in the service who were still breathing in the dust blowing down the street from the rubble. TSC was one of the few churches that shut down all activities two months before the twin towers fell. They went into intense prayer and fasting mode. The preachers would get up on the platform and suddenly silence with fall for 10 minutes at a time, or weeping would break out. This was weeks and weeks ahead. They knew something was coming

How i wish people have ears to hear and eyes to see

My husband was going to a church exactly like what this preacher described. During the time we were engaged, the Lord had convicted my heart to run from the church I was attending so I started to go with him to his, desiring not to be unequally yoked as I did with a previous marriage. After 1 visit, I knew this congregation was dead. No life giving sermons. No preaching of repentance. No mention of walking upright before a holy God. EVERYTHING was loud and glamorous with sugar filled words, flashing lights onstage seemingly hypnotizing the masses. Every opening was filled with laughter and jokes for about 20 minutes. When I say everyone was happy... it was a eerie happy though. Something that made my heart weep. Dead men and women walking. They loved their sin because the pastor never mentioned repentance! He taught God knows your heart! He never was concerned with his congregation because EVERYONE was accepted into the body of Christ by professing their faith in the Lord. Repentance was bypassed completely. He never taught on Hell and the consequence of sin. My husband said he told him he never taught on hell because it made everyone uncomfortable. Needless to say, I stopped going and I implored my husband to read his Bible more and more to see what truth was ( because the more you tell someone don’t, the innate rebellion will tell them do.) After a while, after much prayer for God to open his eyes, he started to see the truth for himself. He decided to stop attending the service (which lasted 1 hour). After a few years, after being married, he talked about visiting and finally did again, twice. All I said to him was, once God deliver you from something, he will never lead you back there. It’s like the scripture said, a dog returning to his own vomit. The scripture also says two will be in the bed when Christ returns. One taken... one left. I’m staying on Christ’s path... even if I have to walk alone. I am following Jesus.

No amount of money will heal a sick child if God doesn’t intervene first. I will not follow you anywhere for as I stated in my earlier comments, I’m following Christ, and Christ alone. Sin is the cause of Cancer, HIV, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, lawlessness, sickness, death, arrogant people rejecting the gospel of Christ Jesus, you name it. Repentance is the ONLY cure for it all. Jesus never said put money into foundations of any sort. Death and sickness is saturated in our world today because the world rejected and continues to reject the Son of God and turn from their wicked ways. Jesus said “Follow me, and let the dead bury their dead.” Peter his disciple preached and said “REPENT and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission ( removal/forgiveness) of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST.” Until complete obedience of the Word is the guiding light of all of mankind, their will be no rest for the weary. Not even Cancer stricken children.

The church I attended was and is the same. It's sad. I've now left but I absolutely believe God really opened my eyes to His Word especially Revelation. I was baptised in that church and again I believe God led me to that just as I fully believe He got me to question the Roman Catholic church and from which He led me away. I had a conversation with someone from the church recently and was asked if I was ok. I told her I had been hoping to hear sermons about Revelation and end times and was told they did one years ago but was worried it might affect church goers. Sad times indeed

My church Wich I started attending recently deny end time prophecy's the disregard what paul wrote and Daniel and Jon in revelation they tell the people it's irelevent those messages are not for us Wich is complete and untter joke do I walked out n I waillcontinue to wake alone with my god my great old god the one that never changes nor does his word ... You do know he was preaching this message five days after the world trade center fell. And he was preaching it in the church that was blocks away from the ground zero. TSC was very close to the crash site. It would lead some Credence to the intensity of the message. However, that is one of the few churches that saw it coming and prepared. Carter conlon was given a divine revelation that there was a tragedy coming to the nation. If you listen to David wilkerson's sermon "the towers have fallen, but we missed the message". You will get more information on what exactly was going on in that church months before 9-11

@craigwheeler4760 Jonathan Cahn is another who predicted some of the things that have happened. I take him with a grain of salt. But Carter Conlon seems genuine, and I've found no falsehoods he's said so far.

@@vince2997 I don't mind at all. He's a senior pastor at times square church in Manhattan n.y. city. After David Wilkerson passed he took over. His preaching is amazing because it's Christ who preaches through him. His name is Carter Conlon. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for asking and God bless you always

A message the church needs to hear. I pray that ears would be open to the truth. So many in the church are lost like I was for so many years. You can't have JESUS and the world you must pick who you serve.

Wow Carol... in 66 years, this is the best sermon you've ever heard? Now, I realize that 66 years may not be the time you've known Christ, but I encourage you to waste no more of it, even listening to sermons = Over the centuries there have been many fine and Godly preachers and they were heard by multitudes and Multitudes of people (who all heard the same message just like the one in this video) and the sad thing is that THE MAJORITY of them turned away, they were not affected by the words spoken, they were not affected by the Spirit, in fact, they rejected the witness of the Truth that He was speaking... those words went into the ear but it never penetrated the heart... Sermons have a strange way of doing that... Listening to sermons all day, every day won't ever "save" anyone, particularly if the sermons is filled with pleading and not the genuine Word of God, for as it says "faith comes by hearing the Word of God", not sermons of men = In modern day American Churchianity, people attend Sunday services 52 weeks a years for decades... They sit and they listen, and they leave exactly the same as when they entered the building, completely unchanged... They are content to merely "go to church"... THAT IS NOT the intimate relationship that the Father desires to have with people and it is certainly not the purpose that Christ suffered and died for = "Going to church" or "Listening to sermons" saves no one and does not make any person a "Christian"... Now, I know some folks will completely misunderstand my point, and that's fine... Let the them remain ignorant... It won't help anyone if I explained what I'm saying since they are not able to understand, but those that do know and understand will say "Amen" because the Spirit reveals that truth = 2nd Timothy 3:7 says that there's some folks who are "always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." They have lots of information about the Bible, they've memorized Scripture, lots of facts, knowledge of the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic language, they know about eschatology and all of the "deep theological studies", but THEY - DO - NOT - KNOW - CHRIST!! They're just as bad off as the deluded "church goer" who thinks he's "done his Christian duty" merely because he "goes to church", tosses a few dollars in the offering plate, sings in the choir, and sets up chairs and tables in the fellowship hall = Sorry for the long rant, but Lord have mercy on us for being fooled by the devil and merely going through the motions of religious "service and duty", while ignoring You all the while = see Revelation 3:14-22 regarding the lukewarm church of Laodicea and you will see that Christ is standing OUTSIDE of the church, knocking at the door... So called christian folks are in the church but He is not because they are "doing church" without Him, simply attending and going through the motions, singing a few hymns, saying a prayer, raising their hand "Amen" and nodding their head in agreement with what's being said, and merely Listening To Sermons... Listening To Lectures... They are neither hold or cold... they are lukewarm... it really doesn't matter to them... they could take it or leave it... they're half-hearted, indifferent, and apathetic... It's fine that they're not attempting to impress anyone, but the problem is that they could care less... They're just waiting for the sermon to finish so they can get some chocolate cake and coffee and be done with it, smiling as they leave, bidding all farewell and "Good night, see you next week" -- Until they draw their last breath and stand before Him who they professed to love but do not know.

Please pray for my mama that she comes out of her bibIe belt church! I've told her multiple times, but she is having trouble leaving her family and friends that she grew up with. She is also worried about having a burial plot near her husband and having enough money to be buried(lives pay to paycheck and her church offers free burial plots to members) when she dies. She is listening to me on the vackxene, but not this. She tells me that all or almost all of them have gotten big V from the pastor on down! Anyway, one of these days, I have got a feeling that they are going to erect a Sunday rest law(which is the katholick church's marck of authority). When that happens, my belief is--she'll be doomed for heII if she continues after that! PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY FOR HER!!!!

This truly is a sad depiction of Truth. I am a Saved Christian, and during my Transformation Jesus has led me to understand the depths of my sin. When you speak here, I witness people praying to God for His Grace and Mercy for their walk? Nobody can get to God, without Jesus Christ. To pray behind a closed door in your home is the Biblical place to bring your redemption to Your Savior. I do Not consider the use of We as appropriate. I hear a cry to The Heavens from this pastor. But, I do not understand placing a foot out to trip one, who very well may be heading to Jesus this very minute, because they are not quite good enough. I understand your pursuit. God be with you, and your flock. Jesus Is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. He alone ✝️🩸🙏🏻❤️

Wow the church I go to does this and from the start I didn’t like it but since I kept going I got molded into the same people they are but I’m leaving and not going back to that one in a while just gonna be praying to God in my prayer closet for now

I attended Times Square and was blessed by the teachings of Pastor Wilkerson and Pastor Conlon. I left shortly before this sermon was given and heard it years later afterwards online. However, I am convinced God gave this to Pastor Conlon for a time such as today. Unfortunately, Pastor Conlon is no longer crying this message but regardless it is GOD's HEART! RUN!!!!! The Church is drunk and God poured them the wine.

Saturate yourself in God’s Word daily, set a time daily in prayer with Him. For example, every night at 8 pm I have my time with God. And spend an hour with Him. 🙏🏻

The sole purpose of this life is to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. True, if we love God we will obey His commandments. Thankfully we aren't saved by loving God but rather because He first loved us and gave Himself for us. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation. Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past,present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation. When you have believed on Christ alone for salvation then you have repented unto life. Salvation is absolutely free recieved solely by trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone, and is certainly not conditional upon service to God. Service ( discipleship) if you choose it can cost you everything if you go all out in serving God. Our good works, repenting of sins, and obedience, are solely for rewards in Heaven or a lack thereof and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all. The only reason anyone will ever be in Heaven is solely by the perfect life, shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ alone. Anything added or subtracted from this is another gospel.

That verse is not speaking of believers like Carter is giving warning to. Read from the beginning. Verse 2 is describing who the treacherous dealers are that verse 16 calls them. V.4 continues with the haughty and v.5 those who have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinances, and broken the everlasting covenant. The meaning is clear. Evil pursues sinners. If they think they sit in palaces they will be destroyed as if they are in cottages. V.18 if they run from one danger, another will find them. Carter on the other hand is warning to run from confmity. Not to rest and sleep in sin as a warm cozy blanket. If we don't run from the spirit of conformity then we can apply your verse and then all the running we can do will do no good.

MayonR That is true and thank you for giving it a meaning I did not think of. You can’t run from sin and problems because they do find you. I know if you run from evil and not walk in The Power you will also run in the pit. It has many meanings. The harlot and her daughters have not taught about walking in power, thus it is written “woe unto the preachers”. Peace unto your home.

What is the fear of the Lord? How does this fear manifest itself in our walk with Jesus..should we be afraid God will punish us if we fall? Will I get ill? Will I lose my job? I worry so much that I'm letting him down that I've grown tired trying to be holy amd righteous to the point where I feel like giving up. God Bless You All

God will not punish you for anything. God loves you from creation ! Before the foundation of the earth . God knew you and call you by your name . He knows how many Haia ur head contains ! He knows ur most personal thoughts . Fear God it’s a expression to call you to a point where you despise evil cause he loves you and he doesn’t want you to separate from him . Imagine u are put in a top of a building right on the edge ! When ur eyes are open the first thing it’s to fear from falling correct ! U know u will die . God it’s jealous and he want us to fear him so we walk in obedience so we don’t fall in the traps of the enemy . U can clear see where a nations or person doesn’t acknowledge God life has no porpoise and death it’s certain ( no fear mean death ) ( fear means salvation. ) Remember that it’s impossible to be perfect even with the Holy Spirit living in you we always will be incline to fall but he will bring you to repentance and correction. Truth sets u free His peace was given to those who believe in him . Be bless

My greatest fear of God, is not receiving my crown, as Christ judges me upon my ascension. Eternal life without Jesus, is my greatest concern. My Bible, gives me The Truth. The fear of the Lord comes when you love Him so that offending Him becomes a horrible thing - That His Holy Spirit withdrawing becomes a nightmare to you. The fear of the Lord is when you are aware of, and afraid of how your thoughts, words, deeds can put distance between you and Him.

Isaiah 53:5, he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH. What brother Carter is saying here in this message sounds just like what happened to the church of Ephesus in this passage from Revelation. About leaving thy first love. And I know what that's like to leave your first love, it also sounds a lot like what brother Paul spoke about in Romans chapter 7 about the evil that I hate that do I. And I understand it after going through a horrible trial and struggle having trouble with sin that is in me, and the poor wicked choices we make because of that enemy that is sin.

Yes the Apostate, Pharasaic, money and power hungry churches that make Jesus weep because he died for Mammon. Who push evil and sin in the name of who? “ Get away from me, I never knew you!!” God is not to be mocked.. Do NOT be deceived, you WILL reap what you sowed!. Yes you get what you give, no more or less. God is just, HE is our judge, not humans like ourselves.
