Those bikes are far from stock. Stock bike vs stock car and the bike will likely win unless you've got something pricey. Tuned and chances are the car will take it, a much higher ceiling for cars. Cars have more parts to bring with also so your statement is kinda hollow.

Actually those bike don’t take much at all to make low 9s on a liter bike or bigger. 3/4 pipe, tune, and 4 inch extension, stickier tire that’s literally it. I’ve ran 9.77 on a stock length gsxr pipe and tune but I weighed 145 at the time.

I swear, the camera work is incredible in these, you got not only stability but high framerates and multiple cameras. Really makes these as immersive as one could hope for without having a camera literally on the vehicles!

Running at the dragstrip is something I'm glad I did back in the day. Fun times.

Love Busas, they sure grip the road much better without extending the rear wheel. Love how they keep their heads down. Other bikes tend to wheelie so they lose.

Some of these races that the Challenger struggled I could tell the DRIVER was unskilled, nothing to do with the car. P.S. That first race with that 1970 old school Challenger was great, THAT driver knew what he was doing!

I'm pretty sure they're bracket racing, where the two opposing bikes/cars leave at different times so as to (ideally) cross the line at the same time. It's about running as close to the same time (your 'dial-in') every pass as possible. The less off-dial you are, without going faster (breaking out), the better.

Classic muscle cars are always the best.

It really depends on the rider most of all , most of the cars here took off faster than the bikes Bc for a bike to have a good take off, it takes more skill Bc a car can just accelerate without worrying about anything but a bike has to worry about it wheeling, another thing to keep in mind is most of these cars have motor work and mostly all the leader bikes like the zx14 and hayabusa don’t really need motor work bc they already compete agains those cars. The H2 was the only one bc it comes stock with a supercharger but still there’s tons of things you can do to it

Yeah, cars can totally _"just accelerate without worrying about anything."_ As clearly indicated at 1:27 in this video, cars just have to "like... just press the gas all the way down and go, bruh!" You've never driven a car with more than about 150hp, have you?

I was around when the Kawasaki 900 first came out. Way too many riders we're not ready for something like this. And way too many riders got hurt.

I tried drag racing for a while, had an 11 second nova. Quit after two years. I was also racing street stock dirt ovals. I quit the drags, cuz a full day racing only got me 3 minutes in the car. Kinda dumb to build a car and try and drive it as little as possible. I like two hour races. A hundred laps. Still do roundy rounds, modifieds. To much fun, and not near as many jerks. Be well all.
