I lost both of my parents 11 years ago. First my dad then my mom 6 weeks later. I fell into a depression after that. All I can tell you is that things do get better over time. Hang in there bro.

I've lost a lot of people very close to me over the years. I've heard nearly every platitude and empathetic encouragement there is, I know that there is basically nothing at all that anybody can say that makes a difference. It took me awhile but I eventually realized it doesn't matter at all what these people are saying. It can be frustrating as hell because no matter how hard they try to make you feel better about what is happening you just know it doesn't even remotely help anything. What took me so long to figure out though is that it doesn't matter. What they're doing, and this is the important bit, is TRYING. So yeah, when people try to make you feel better by saying some meaningless shit that's supposed to comfort you, don't worry about it. Just focus on the fact that they care enough to try it. They wouldn't do that for you if you didn't mean something to them.

Basically nothing anybody has ever said helped me in those situations and despite having gone through it myself many times I've never come up with anything to say that was helpful. In short, it's not what you say it's just the fact that you try.

This song is such a masterpiece. They barely touched it. Great job.

One of the greatest lyrical songs of all time and done justice by this cover. Awesome.

This is probably one of the best ways to be introduced to metal

I rarely listen to radio but was somewhere where one was playing in the background. "(I've had) The time of my life" started and I immediately wondered what it would sound like if Leo metalized it. You'll need Mary or Hannah to help you though!

With a few minor differences, this metal cover is pretty true to the original that I listened to growing up in the 70's.

Thing about this song is, it's not just a great song. It's four distinct really incredible songs that got stirred together into a shocking masterpiece. Leo couldn't really improve on this one, for a change, but this cover still rocks just as hard as the original.

Ok, It is so rare to see someone remake a song better than the original. What is insane is that Leo does it on a regular basis. I don't know of anyone as talented as him. This comment isn't to attest to Leo's amazing gift, it is to say how good the original "Carry On Wayward Son" is. In Leo's version, the instrumentals are hardly different at all. It's like the song is so good that it can't be improved upon.

Leo bro you never disappoint my man. Kansas has a phenomenal vocalist and as usual you deliver a rock master piece. Both instrumentally as well as vocally. Rock on bro!

Sometimes Leo's voice drowns out other singers. This one though is perfectly balanced. A+++
