Carpenter pants are a great Everyday Carry alternative to cargo pants when you want more capacity for your gear than jeans while also looking more professional.
Additionally, canvas cargo pants, in the right colors, can stand in for work pants in fairly professional work environments without attracting attention.
In this video I provide an overview of the Duluth Trading Company Carpenter Pants in both Jean and Canvas styles, which have become my go-to carpenter pants for both work and home activities.

If you have a brand you prefer over them it would be great to know what other good options there are.. I've only owned Duluth ones so my experience is limited, but great so far. Thanks for commenting!
Good review. My goto pants are the Vertex Delta Stretch pants. They look like jeans (not cargo) and they have tons of pockets and features. They are truly awesome. The normal stretch are more like jeans and the LT version is lighter fabric. I have both, I wear those everywhere and everyday

Thanks for the comment! I'll check the Vertex pants out. I'm always interested in finding even better. Most of my experience has been with the Duluth ones so far, which are not perfect, but have been good enough I felt compelled to make a video after years of either not having enough pocket storage or wearing cargo pants, when I would shove too much stuff into individual pockets.
Although pricey (~$145) I like the Triple Aught Intercept PD jeans. Has 4 front pockets - 2 coin pockets that are wider on the inside, 4 rear pockets and still looks like regular jeans. These pants offset the need for leather belt clip style multitool/ knife/pen pouches.
