Carrowkeel - Megalithic Complex - Co. Sligo
Another journey through time this week as we explore the ancient Carrowkeel megalithic complex.
Situated on the bricklieve mountains in Co. Sligo, there are around 14 passage tombs at Carrowkeel dating back to 3500BCE.
Bricklieve (An Bricshliabh) meaning "the speckled hills"
An enjoyable walk along the Miners Way, and a great privilege that this site remains open to the public.
The tombs are open, although please be respectful of these ancient graves and don't climb inside!
