I tried this with a rigmaster 10 years ago and after I got into it I was going to have way more money in it so I gave up! I ended up getting a Honda 3000 gas and a rooftop air conditioner $2500 total

Thanks for this video, I have this unit and would love to gather more information about it! I’m looking at doing something a little different than originally intended but am trying to understand how to wire the large alternator (generator head)!

I’ve been wanting to do this to my Tripac. The circuit board is bad. I totally agree with you.They’re way to complicated and trouble prone.

Do you have a link? I am trying to get an idea of as I have been looking for the same type of things. I am getting a small diesel motor and adding a generator head. I am looking for ideas on how to rig up the ac porting without using a window unit or mini split

Very likely you will find interchangeable parts used in different applications (e.g. automotive). The best is to wash all this stuff and try to ask your local mechanic if they know if any other vehicles are using the similar parts you need. This search process will get easier if you find labels on each part.

That big alternator is called a generator, also it looks like the engine tag with the serial number was next to your hand on the valve cover, and you should be replacing the frame instead of trying to add new metal

Please can you do a video explaining why the Apu fan does not work when connected directly to the motherboard. But when I hot wire it to my truck battery it works.

That thing has so much rust, if it was mine, I'd drain the fluids and take it to scrap metal place before the rest turned to rust.

@@truckingandfixing no trashed it , it was pretty rough had to remove it to pass Landstar inspection still have wires and fuel lines and in cab controls on the truck

How do I take the thermostat housing off? Need to replace mine

APU looked pretty ruff, looked like maybe came off of an oilfield truck, my Tipac is 14 years old and it looks much better than that, I think you'll fix all that.

Hello, I have a 2015 carrier comfort pro APU and the stater stays stuck next to the engine when it starts, and it turns off because the stater does not go back.

Cheaper to buy a new one

I bought a truck and it came with a one of this APU units. It is on a very good condition but after turning it on the first time I never use it again because it is extreamately loud. However I want to do some maintenance on it and it wont turn on becacause I stop using it. As right now I saw three fault codes on it. Golow Plugs, Alt Power and Alt F/B. Any advice on how to do a proper maintenance on it and any idea on how to reduce the noise?

As a carrier tech that would be 6-8-10’d as it’s just junk and a waste to invest into. Entire frame , harness coolant system fuel etc etc etc
