NASHVILLE, Tenn.--In January, FOX 17, The Heart Gallery of Middle Tennessee and Erin Como shared the story of 15-year-old Daysia. The aspiring forensic scientist has been looking for her forever home and shared with us how Carrie Underwood's music has helped her get through hard times.
Daysia believes she wouldn't be who she is today without such songs like "temporary home" to inspire and guide her as she waited for her forever family. Then the unthinkable happened. Carrie Underwood found out about Daysia's story on FOX 17 and with one simple tweet, shared her path with the world.

But Carrie didn't stop there. She surprised Daysia by dedicating a performance of temporary home when singing at the Grand Ole Opry last weekend. Daysia was only further surprised when she was able to meet Carrie, left speechless after finally meeting her idol, the artist who had impacted her life so much.
