Oh please, she is snubbed because she is a woman. All kinds of performers, mostly men, give thanks and praise to God publicly. In country music, the women who are acknowledged (like Dolly, Loretta and so on)have accomplished more sometimes than the men, both as singers and songwriters.

That's not why. She sings country music 🤣 they all about proclaiming their faith. She's snubbed because she's a woman and also because some of the older voters still don't like the way she joined country music via Idol. They believe she hasn't "paid her dues."

This interview brought me to tears. Why did she not win?! What the hell is wrong with country music?!

It's awesome to see how these women all have each other's backs!! They aren't competing, they raise each other up, & it's fantastic!

Day after CMA’s and I’m heartbroken for Carrie. I don’t understand how they determine the winner but I am questioning what’s the criteria for winning. Carrie couldn’t have worked any harder this past year than she did. Sold out stadiums all over the country. A mom of two young boys and many charity commitments AND a clothing line promoting fitness. What the heck does a woman performer in Country Music have to do to WIN ?? It’s been more than 10 years COME ON CMA’s. Ps. Garth Brooks is awesome but he’s won this a couple times now and DAMIT it was a WOMENS turn. CARRIE’s prize. This is the only awards show I watch these days and after last night I will always watch now with a sad memory of what happened last night. Carrie you’re a Superstar and your fans LOVE you girl!

Dont' worry Troy. She's going to win because of all the ruckus about women not winning and the night will be about women in country music so the academy will pretty much have to give it to her. It will be a bittersweet win because of all the foot stomping "Look at me - I deserve it." She does deserve it but when you have to be on the verge of tears and complain (good grief - does she not make enough money without awards?), it looks petty. It will be an empty win because it will be on everyone's mind if she won because the night was about women or not. Lots of great entertainers don't win because they don't suck up to the right people which I have always considered part of Toby Keith's "charm".

I honestly think that her idea of celebrating women in country is being used as a pawn for a bigger agenda for women in country music. I highly doubt that this is the way she wanted it to go. The association has used her sincere agenda to lift up women in country music as a pawn in a game that nobody can ever win. I don't typically listen to country and therefore this is strictly my opinion about awards. I feel like an award doesn't tell you how good someone is. Looking at all of the comments on here, I think she won entertainer of the year. Just because she didn't take home an award doesn't mean she didn't win all of your hearts. At the end of the day the only opinion that matters is that you all love her.

Sometimes fans can be so nasty about artist that they are not fans of. The artist know the talent and hard work that is being done by fellow artist and support them as professionals and often friends. People are human beings and I guess that will never change. But it is great to hear appreciation for individuals and what they do.
