I always hated Carrie. She was an awful person and she wasn't physically attractive. No way she would have pulled men like Mr Big or Aiden in real life.

The main screen writer left the show after the third season because of disagreements with SJP, when she became a co-producer to get more money than the other three actresses she started meddling in everything, script, fashion.... and the show went to shit.
