My uncle Thomie's Carrerabahn from Summer of 2020!

He's collected cars and tracks for a long time, expanding every year.
He sets this track up (a little bit different each time) for about a month every summer in Hamburg, Germany, for family and friends to join and race with him.

he was driving a striped tomato... from the tv show starsky and hutch... red torino with white stripe
sweet setup. I have maybe 1/4rd of that track, but also no space to set up all the track I have. I got it all about 20 years ago, via ebay and collector friends in Germany who shipped it to me. I likely have the only Universal setup in the US of that size and with track from K0 to K4 with "Randstreifen" - I think there are about 50 cars here as well, most original Universal cars. What do you use these days to run timing and scoring? My setup from 20 years ago is totally outdated (parallel port and DOS compatible)

hi peter, yes indeed, k4 with "randstreifen" is a wonderful possibililty to slide. to your question: no, i havn´t any scoring, chronometry and monitor/screen - we only make races of 1 to 6 rounds - but some friends of mine want to install it perhaps next year. one idea is to use the contact of the round counter or to build in a light barrier.
ist das die selbe Steilkurve wie bei der 8 aus dem Universal 132original Baukasten, von der Steigung her?

Zusatz: Die Universal-Carrera-Autos bringen mir persönlich mehr Fahrspaß, weil sie keine Magneten haben und deshalb auch mehr driften.

Carrera Universal 132, so it´s a skale1:32 - now only second hand, it was produced from 1963 to 1984!
Wow...that's a Lotta track for sure....any lane changing possible...

I agree with Marc. I happen to know both authors. They're musicians and I can confirm they make much nicer music than that! 😂
