Hi BimmerTech - After installing this, my front L/R midrange and woofers don't seem to be working (center tweeter and speaker is fine) - could it be a faulty unit?

If I'm in car play mode, and I shift the car into reverse will it go into the standard reverse camera view, or will it stay showing carplay?

It will switch to the camera view.

Where in South Africa could one get this for a country man 2020? There’s a mini that doesn’t take car play, called dealership and they said it’s impossible. I hope you would be of assistance.

I finished this and my Mini just says "No Signal" when I switch over to android auto. Everything else works fine.

The best option would be to visit the BMW/MINI dealership. They should be able to get you the missing pins or at the very least point you to a shop where you can find them.

Yes it may, but you'd have to decode your VIN here: www.bimmer-tech.net/category-bmw-carplay-mmi-retrofit to make sure it's 100% compatible with your specific vehicle.
