If there was an agreement between the Duterte administration, unless it was ratified by Congress and since the present administration reminded it, it is therefore null and void. So shameful of China to expect it to be adhered to by the BBM gov't. And by the way China, you are a signatory to UNCLOS abide by it.

Not the CCP China but the previous Koumintan government of Chiang Kai Shek in 1947 claim the 9 dash line of the South China Sea as its territorial waters. The Koumintan government was an American friendly regime and there was no opposition from other countries then. Unclos came in to effect in 1982 that awarded 200 miles EEZ but cannot overlapped other countries territorial boundary. China already had its claim in 1947. China is imposing it's 1947 boundaries as it see fit. How can a later day Unclos 1982 give territory to any new claimant. Its like some authority give your house away without recognising you as owner. China is following the 1947 rule and other countries are following the 1982 rule. Tq.
