From the 1989 "Lovelines" CD, one of their best. Not a stinker on the entire CD. Carpenters were sorta ridiculed during their time, but now 40 or 50 years later, their music has stood the test of time, unlike the cap being put out today. Karen's voice is timeless!

Serenade me by the light of the moon Let's sing and dance as lovers do When the morning light shines down on me With you, my love, I want to be As the stars go sailing by We can count them you and I We can make a wish when one falls from the sky And my only wish would be That forever I would see You moving through the darkness smiling that way at me Kiss me the way you did last night Lay down beside me, holding me tight Kiss me the way you did last night Tonight until the morning light Celebrate love while the feeling is new It's a moment that was meant for me and you If tomorrow never comes I won't care I'll just love you tonight and all we share Kiss me the way you did last night Lay down beside me, holding me tight Kiss me the way you did last night Tonight until the morning light Tonight, tonight and every night Kiss me the way you did last night [2x:] Kiss me the way you did last night Lay down beside me, holding me tight Kiss me the way you did last night Tonight until the morning light

Siedah Garrett sings backup harmonies with Karen & Richard on this song. Her voice blends so well with theirs that she becomes the "Third Carpenter." (Presumably, Richard felt the backups he and Karen had recorded were incomplete, so he hired Ms. Garrett to help him finish them?)

Die beste überhaupt ❤
A "classic" Carpenters song! What if this song had made the "Made In America" album...this song i think would've been a hit if it was released as a single!
This is, no doubt, one more Carpenters` treasure, one more Carpenters` classic...
I know men who have cried hearing Karen's beautiful voice!
Oh how I wish Karen didn't die too young... she could do so much more... her voice is simply amazing
One of their best...definitely should have been a single.
Most definately one of the "most ambitous" productions...and one great tune...
For years I thought this album was pronounced LOVE-LEE-NESS. Never really liked it. When I finally discovered it was prononced LOVE-LINES, it made a lot more sense, and I have grown to love this album, and "Kiss Me" is one of my very favorite songs.
love it !!!

SPIRITUAL ~ Just like heard it fresh last night ~! ...
Happy Birthday dear Karen.! ♥
Still, one of my all-time favorites from Rich & Karen. Such a loss----heartbreaking.-------------WolfSky9, 71 y/o
very beautiful
A Masterwork from Rich & Karen! Singing like we'll not hear again. Wolfsky9
Carpenters, a gente não se cansa de ouvir.
Thank you so much for this!!! I've been looking for this for a very long time! =)
Bellas vocesss❗❤️❤️😍😢😢
SUCH A COOOOOOOL SONG THANX JUST SOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL
SUCH A COOOOOOOL SONG THANX
Love this song sooooooooooooooooooooo much :)
Listening July 2024 I love Karen
This is one more Carpenters` TREASURE...
Beautiful song!!
oooo I´d love this song, make me feel so happy, and I remember so....
Today, (February 25th), is my birthday. How am I spending the day? I'm sitting in front of the computer watching Carpenters music videos. Kiss me the way you did last night (in my dreams) Karen.
Brilliant !
You can find Karen singing the low D in "A Song for You." She hits some high notes in "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" in the second choral run of "here to remind you" and underneath the second half of the sax solo in "All You Get from Love is a Love Song."
This song and Touch Me When We're Dancing a grest new direction for the Cs
Magic of music.
I can't help but wonder how many more unreleased songs by the Carpenters are somewhere in the vaults.
Richard had to make a coin toss decision between this song and "Touch Me When We're Dancing" for the Made in America album. Big mistake, I feel.

Tress Braga why did he have to choose between those two songs? He could’ve chosen another that stayed on the album. “Kiss Me” is perhaps my favorite Carpenters song.

He could have put both into the album. 😎
very powerfully stated, and so very true
great music!
Nice video, with great stereo sound.
"If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more."
As I've read, She had a very cool wide voice range. Her voice rang is D below middle C to G above high C.
@earcandy2008 Don´t know about that, but I just love both songs. I treasure these ones.
You've uploaded a very lovely video here, as well as the music itself. I love it, including scenes of Karen singing and kissing the marionettes. Thanks for sharing.
That beautiful is this song!!! I am charmed with it!! And you prop many tenderness gives me Karen's photo playing cards with Mickey at 3:43 :)
I'm in Love
Beautiful! xxs
