F*ckin' awesome vid. And let's remember, John Carpenter, did it with a fraction of the tech we have today.

Much like Seth Ickerman indeed! DIY is usually the best for outputting the pure creative vision you had in mind. Even thought collaborating is fun, it'll never be as artistically cohesive as if one mind was doing all of it.

I've been listening to these guys for years and it has never occurred to me that I've never seen or heard them speak. This is so cool 👍

Man this was inspiring for my own work and my own situation. Nothing to do with synths. I'm an apprentice Japanese armorer, and my approach to a lot of things ruffles a lot of feathers with people. This was exactly what I needed right now.

That's something that I've noticed about a lot of these guys they seem to be about their art not about themselves. I find that very commendable. You look at how the modern music industry has devolved into idol worship while these guys seem to be responding with the sentiment of "I want to hear some kickass music, but nobody is making it so I will and if other people like it then that's awesome."

Yep. This is the kind of art i love and want to make too, standalone pills of immersion to a rad world.

Its funny. I feel like leaving a comment is the defeating the point of the message of this video, but here I am. I was just so happy to be educated by the views of these artists and was over the moon at the love shown to Trent and NIN. I just wanted to send some love back into the world. ok, happy synthing.

What Brut was referring to, i think, was "i care about your music, not what amateurs and trolls say about mine"

Great Video. As someone, who started making synthwave roughly half a year ago (no releases yet (!!!) , focus on the yet) this was very inspiring. I come from rock music originally (still play guitar in my band) and it's a breath of fresh air to listen to these guys not giving a damn about what inspired them and who they are "copying". Although for most of my life i kinda disliked electronic music, because it felt like it's not "genuine" music. We're all standing on the shoulders of giants and i appreciate the smaller artists even more than the big guys. That being said, i can't wait to see Perturbartor X Carpenter Brut in november in cologne. Like a Michael Jackson/Madonna double concert of Synthwave (for me).

tu détestes internet ? je comprends mais sans internet , pas de visibilité pour les artistes actuellement.. il faut aller sur internet avec discernement comme la tv auparavant.. Synths forever !

he may appear salty, but he makes logical points. Also beware of the culture change, in France we are more direct and honest, which means the language will be harsher even without bad intentions.
