Run the muscle bed situation by me again. I've noticed leftover muscle shells from an otter. I know carp do reside there but don't feed or show bait. I guess because of the natural offering. What would you suggest
Method mix , not much ground bait lots of pellet , you want it to stay on the method so it creates a focal point .

Bovril is a great bait liquid. Ive noticed the lads never expose their ears. There both goblins im conviced. Good fishing and a good watch👍
They should put anti slip bords around it expecially in the night swims. I personally don't fish there (even though I live 20 mins away) as the fish mouths are not good but good place for people that are starting out or just want to catch.

The boards are like ice rinks when wet , definitely you’d thought making a absolute killing on day tickets they would have put anti slip stuff on top

It really depends on your situation, from memory Curly had the 9ft 3.5lb and they were stiff rods, so he went down to 3lbers. That said, if you need to cast a solid 100 yards, the 3.5lb would be a better bet!

Most swims at Drayton have a load of decking screws so you can use them instead of pegs. You can buy them too, NGT do a pack for around £6 I think? Always worth carrying a set with you!
