Carp Bait - Corn Bread Boilie #2 - Yellow & White

Спорт

Quick way to make a lot of cheap chum to bait an area and uses simple ingredients from any supermarket, this has always worked for me on West Point Lake. I usually chum 3 spots as soon as I launch the boat, after I chum the 3rd spot I return to the 1st spot to fish. If nothings there I head to the 2nd spot and so on. I haven't tried keeping this bait for an extended amount of time I usually us it up over the weekend or freeze it for chum later. It will spoil so keep it cool if you plan on longer trips. I use the bait on a hair rig with PVA string or bags. Catfish love it also.
If you decide to cut the brown heel off the slices of bread be sure to add more slices of the white part of the bread to keep the 6oz weight. The mix might not be perfect, so be sure to have some extra corn floor while mixing the dough if it gets to moist and add some water if it gets to dry.
If you would like to see some of the fish I caught that weekend let me know, I can e-mail you some pictures.

6 slices moist bread = 6 o/z weight 1 cup corn flour = 4 o/z weight 1/2 cup smashed corn = 3 o/z weight 2 tsp white sugar 2 tsp corn oil COLOR - 1/2 tsp white powder or leave the dark part of the bread out and add extra centers till you have 6 o/z. COLOR - 25 drops yellow food coloring. Hope this helps.

The boilies I make sink like a rock. I don't use pop ups boilies usually. They make a pop up mix which you can see videos about and buy the mix on carp sites on-line, but they usually only use them on the hook bait to get the bait off the bottom or above a rocky or debris bottom. Some put a cork in the boilie or use a bread loaf. I seen a video once where you can make a normal boilie recipe and put the boilie in the microwave for a minute or so and the boilie will float.

It's a good video just wish you would have added where to get the special equipment you used. I don't have any of that with the exception of the drill. But thanks I plan to use this next week at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City! I will be making Yellow and Red though.

I never tried to put it on a hook shaft so I’m not sure if you can (I use it primarily for chum). I use it on a hair rig which you can find on Y-tube, it works good on a hair rig if you don’t have a lot of small fish or crawfish picking it off, which in that case I would switch to a hard corn boilie. If you don’t wont to use a hair rig I would smash a moist piece of white bread on my hook.

The black table for rolling the boilies is a Gardner Rolaball Baitmaster 18mm, you can buy these on line. The boilie extractor is a caulk gun from Home Depot which I convert to use with a Gardner Standard Sausage Gun. I throw the carp back to catch another day.

I keep the bait in a cooler, usually 3 days, I never went fishing longer than that so I'm not sure how long it will last. The bait stays on the hook for hours as long as bream do eat it first.

albanian I use my depth/fish finder on my boat to look at the bottom structures to find my fishing spot, I then will just toss the boilies in by hand and fish from the shore/bank. I usually throw in 1-2lbs to chum with. I will start fishing in 1 hour due to I usually only fish for 1 or 2 days, go to work.

I would roll out each color the size of the boilie, cut them in half put the two colors together into one long sausage, cut them into the boilie size and roll them in your hands to form balls? I've never tried it without the sausage gun but that should work

It's a white powder dye, I don't have it any more to tell you the name brand, but you can find it on-line. You really don't need it if you just use the white part of the bread center and leave the heel out.

Bought the caulking gun at Home Depot (Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ Caulk Gun). I had a (Gardner Standard Sausage Gun) so I modify them together. The Gardner sausage tube fit the Ryobi Gun perfect. I had to modify the plunger on the Ryobi which didn't fit into the tube with the correct diameter. I took off the plunger tip from the Gardner Gun and put it on the Ryobi plunger rod, added a washer (spacer) and a different bolt to hold the plunger on the rod. Buy the Gardner sausage tube set first and then find a electric caulking gun that the Gardner tube will fit in.

The microwave trick doesn't work on my corn bread boilie. Find a regular boilie mix recipe on line that doesn't contain bread crumb. Find a recipe with different flours like Semolina, Soya Flour and some eggs, add some type of scent, around here you can always find vanilla extract at the grocery store or you can cut some O-mega 3 fish pills to add a fish scent and oil.

Not really sure, I would guess I pushed down with about 15 lb of pressure, doesn't need to be really hard since the boilie table will only compress so much till the two boilie tables touch each other. It's somewhat of a soft bait vs the original all flour base boilie which is much harder. The final boilie will fill much like a piece of white bread if you squeezed it has hard as you can.

Never made it hard, it’s a (Cheap) soft bait recipe primarily of chum. The bread is keeping it soft, the longer you let them room dry the more they crack due to the bread drying out, less bread the better. Try adding another egg and more corn flour. You might also try boiling them longer, try 5 minutes. After boiling them let them room dry until it hardens to your desire then keep them cold. Might try just the egg whites or powder eggs. They might have a bread hardener in the store.
