I just bought it off my unc a d those breaks are deadly they try to stop last week. But u just pressed on them a little bit today scared the ish out of me. I can say I'd like more power but first gotta find the parts

Adjustable seat and handlebars are a must, so I guess I'm stuck with no suspension.

What scooter would you recommend for weather such as rain or snow to ride in, I know it’s not a preferable thing but as my only form of transportation I got no options. Plus what one would have solid tires?

That's a tough one. Not sure if any are recommended in rain or snow but look for one with off road tires which will have more grip in the rain and snow. Also don't push it too hard and you should be fine. But I don't recommend it.. haha

u should make a video with perosn riding it and groceries in basket to see how much can it hold thanks

i live in maine and thinking about this model for putting around town. thoughts on a more hilly terrain? only a ride of about 1.5 miles to work each way but it's uphill at about 7 percent grade thanks for review!

Hey, this should be ok for a 7 percent grade. I really like the hybrid scooter e-bike feel. Also make sure to get the adjustable seat if you are a taller person. Appreciate you my friend!

Hey thanks for the video, does this model lose a bit of charge while just sitting, I am looking for one that I can take to work a couple days a week but work 12 hour days and work is 7 miles out, If I keep it at grade 2 do you think it will be viable?

Can anyone tell me what size replacement brake pads are needed for a Caroma Peak 819W Electric Scooter with Seat, 14" Tire Electric Scooters for Adults, 48V Battery? Caroma has NO Customer Service number for help. Very disappointing.

Mechanical disc brakes on scooters and bikes have a tendency for the caliper to loosen in its mount. This is about the fifth time I have seen it on electtric bikes. A good ride safety protocol would include ALWAYS CHECKING THE CALIPERS FOR TIGHT MOUNTING BEFORE RIDING. It only takes a few seconds and few tugs on the mounting screws (usually with an allen wrench.

Mr. Hobart, how do you compare, rate the Caroma to the Gyroor electric scooters? From what I see I think the Gyroor are better?

I weigh 220 lbs and I'm wondering for an auxiliary transport for going suburban shopping 10/12/14 mile round trip with both flat and hilly roadways ,if I should go with the 500W or the 650 W? I do like the foot pedal rest and basket of the C1S@ 500 W, yet the C1 P with 650W offers slightly more power and travel distance, do you think that such is a major superior difference factor more than the C1S?

Hey looks like this is the 350 watt motor version. The name of the listing is the same for all versions but the pictures tell you what size motor it is. The 500 watt (800peak) motor is a bit more and then they have a 1200 watt for even more

You're incorrect. This is the 500 w version with the 800 w peak. The other version is 750 w motor with 1200 Peak. The peak doesn't make any difference. It's just a way for them to market it and make it sound like it's more powerful. So they have a 500 w version and a 750w version? That's it. This one is the 500 w version.

How’s it working 5 months later? And do you ride it often?

I sold it to a neighbor and it's still working just fine. I can't keep all of the scooters. Any bikes I review. I don't have enough room lol

Yes you ride it like a bike. So you need balance but it's pretty simple to learn.

Shipping was fine. Box came undamaged and the bike was secured inside with foam and other dunnage. I'm 5'11 and with the adjustable seat version I was okay. There was still a little bit more seat height that I could add so it should be okay for your son. I would stay away from the fixed seat seat version though because that seat is much lower than the adjustable seat. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any more questions!

If their page isn't working, you're probably going to have to contact customer service. You can most likely get tires from Amazon, but specific replacement parts would have to come from them.

The overpriced shipping and the jerky brake is a deal breaker for me. If they can somehow fix those 2 issues then i am a buyer.

Depends on the ride or weight in the speed mode you're in but I was getting between 10 and 15 mi.

Not if you need range. It only has 10-12 miles of range before you need to charge. That takes a few hours.

Yeah it was pretty powerful. You would get a little less range but you should still hit the top speed
