+Isabel Palomares Yes true, but usually leather is a bi-product of the meat industry. The animal hasn't been hunted and sourced for its fur, besides she doesn't confess to be a vegan, but its good that she has a stance on something. Every little choice a person makes helps :)

I'm sorry, but the cow you eat is not the same you use to make a jacket. I'n not a vegan nor a vegetarian, and I used to think that eating meat and not wearing leather was hypocrite of me. Instead, I was being ignorant. They are different industries, the cows used for meat are raised in a different environment and have a different trait than the ones destined to produce leather. The leather industry is highly polluting, is treated with toxic chemicals, harming the people who work with the material, the buyers and the environment. i love how casually elegant she seems. i know that there is some form of effort that goes into seeming effortless but i think she's habitualised it to the point that she just exudes something that makes her so charming.

It's true! French women have a unique style, that's almost not perceived or seen but rather felt. I met a french woman and she had her hair that way, as if she just woke up, no makeup, beautiful skin.... very casual...but I still knew she was not American...she had this air of chic to her in a very casual way....

I would love to see Jeanne Damas or Alexa Chung next! These videos are FANTASTIC! Caroline de Maigret's style, personalty, and ambiance is one of the most covetable of contemporary style icons! And in addition to that, she has really great hair!

+greaserette Well if u buy a leather item you can most of the time expect that the animal was going to get killed anyway because of the meat people want to eat. So you might as well just use the skin as well to make some Leather items out of it. But killing animals just for their fur is a a whole different story in my opinion.

No idea who this chick is but I am in love with her seemingly care free chicness.

I was actually about to go through my wardrobe and throw away a bunch of clothes because I thought I had too much (especially jackets/coats) but from watching this video I understood two things that made me change my mind about my approach. 1. You don't have too much clothes. 2. It's okay to have too much clothes as long as you love it and as long as it expresses who you are. This woman is so cool. I'm definitely a fan.

When she said she felt she had 'a turtle shell', it reminded me of my grandmother's explanation that out clothing is actually a sort of uniform: when we want to be in authority; display cohesion with a particular group; etc. we wear 'the proper ensemble' for that environment/expression. Our outfit can 'protect' us from scrutiny or invite it- whichever we choose! :)
