Merry Christmas everyone! We hope you all have a very blessed Advent and Christmas season!
Here is our version of the classic Christmas Song, "Carol of the Bells." We hope you enjoy it:)
My brother arranged the piece. My family sang it.
Please no bad language in the comments. We want this to be family friendly:)
Lyrics:
O Sapientia quae exore
altissimi prodidisti
Hark! how the bells
sweet silver bells
All seem to say
throw cares away.
Christmas is here
bringing good cheer
To young and old
meek and the bold
Ding, dong, ding, dong
that is their song,
With joyful ring
all caroling
One seems to hear
words of good cheer
From everywhere
filling the air
O, how they pound
raising the sound
Oer hill and dale
telling their tale
Gaily they ring
while people sing
Songs of good cheer
christmas is here!
Merry, merry, merry, merry christmas!
Merry, merry, merry, merry christmas!
On, on they send
on without end
Their joyful tone
to every home
Hark! how the bells
sweet silver bells
All seem to say
throw cares away.
Hark! how the bells
sweet silver bells
All seem to say
throw cares away.
Christmas is here
bringing good cheer
To young and old

The days grow cold and dark as winter comes, in these years where strife seems to know no end in this world plagued by disease and unjust wars, and yet still we sing. Still we remember the birth of the babe whose sacrifice would redeem all of humanity. Sing, O freedom, sing in the century-old melodies of a nation under threat of extermination. Sing, O free world, united in solidarity for the sake of all who wish to live their lives in peace. For once more we celebrate. It's Christmas.

this is one of the most epic Carrols, so when I saw you'd done a version I was sure it'd be awesome. particularly love the way it starts acapella, then the bell comes in later around the third repeat, though it would've been nice to hear the bases get the tune for once. This I think is tied with the version of the carrol of the bells sung by the London choir Libera for a personal favourite recording of this carrol. I'll be looking forward to seeing what other festive stuff you come up with, ever considered Caccini's ave maria? Very different to the schubert one you usually hear, and something I think you would do a fantastic job with. Either way thanks for another great edition to your festive catalogue.

Thank you for your performance of the adapted version of the 💙💛 Ukrainian folk song - "Carol of the Bells" is a popular Christmas carol, with music by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1914 and lyrics by Peter J. Wilhousky. The song is based on the Ukrainian folk chant "Shchedryk". In this difficult time for the Ukrainian people, it is very pleasant to hear it in your strong performance.

This is my favorite Christmas song of all time, the one I dreamed of singing, and learned to sing and to hear it in all its majesty and beyond is a real gift, thank you all for the time to create this amazing song! It was worth it! And a very merry Christmas to you too!

What I love about this song is that it does feel like an epic song, which is more suitable for the birth of God into sacrifice, than other more calm and underwhelming musical Christmas pieces. The birth of Christ is a divine moment, joyful because he had come to save us, sorrowful because of the torment and sacrifice he endured to deliver us. This song captures this duality. Ave Christus Rex 👑✝️
