What’s so weird is, I randomly met Caro in a rooftop bar in Melbourne a few years ago and she honestly was the nicest person, but on this show, just arrogant as hell. Pure shock jock

Love Caro but her take on McRae was the most bizarre thing I’ve ever heard. She’s not only thrown a complete air ball there but she’s also smashed a Ming vase that was confusingly placed at the foot of the ring.

Shocking take by Caro….and I am not even a Collingwood supporter …..he took ownership and said what can I do to improve….great proactive continuous improvement mindset .

Caro’s source - “trust me”… what a horribly insipid and petty person. Proof that her keeping her media roles are because of who she knows, not what she does.

For someone that has made a career out of "look at me" articles and coming up with stuff to get her name in the headlines to be criticising someone else for a "me, me" attitude is as good as it gets. It's an Olympic gold medal level of totally oblivious irony and you just have to wonder about the level of gall required to be able to say it with a straight face.

I'm not a Collinwood supporter, but i watched the post match review...Craig McRae did zero wrong, he just responded to what was asked, he loves his team, he sees some holes that he acknowledges needs work, he wants to do better. Literally just ripping him apart for zero reason.

Im a Richmond fan and I mention that because im not a Collingwood fan and ill call it objectively and as a fan it is ingrained in us to not like Collingwood but you cant not like Fly. Hes everything you would want in a coach. He takes responsibility hes looking at how he can improve thats what I would want to hear. He wants to win and hes looking at what he can control. He didnt make St Kilda play well hes not there coach he can only control his coaching which has some influence on how Collingwood plays. I dont see how she can criticise him when hes being reflective on himself. He could have easily said the players arent up to par because theres probably some truth in that but he wont because hes taking responsibility and i love that. How she can criticse a man for being accountable I find quite weird.

This is a pretty absurd argument against the coach... As a coach, can he change what the opposition did? And do they play the same opponent next week? No, and no. The only thing he can control and manipulate, is himself and everyone underneath him, so that the same mistakes don't play out again against the next opposition. Seems like his focus and intent was EXACTLY where it should be.

TBH, I don't believe McCrae did anything wrong. Collingwood lost and have lost their first three matches. I'm sure he has given the opposition credit but without saying it in press conference

To appease Caro and petty nitpickers such as yourself that somehow believe Fly is disrespectful to the opposition because he failed to roll out the usual tired cliche. Anyone with common sense or knowledge of Fly knows that this wasn't a slight on the winning team. Take the time to read the other comments here - posted by Saints, Pies and various other supporters of AFL. It may give you a clue about what the majority of people thing about Caro's beat up.

Did the media ask him a question about St Kilda? In a way it is actually refreshing to take responsibility for your own teams performance and not overtly praising your opponent as an excuse for your own failings. So you missed hearing the usual tired cliche congratulating the winning team? The turnovers and skill errors were shocking. Ross Lyon is more than capable of praising his own team and commenting on StKildas performance. As for Caro, sick of her whining and bashing teams and the AFL. Fly has always been courteous and respectful to the opposing team - win or lose. I think Caro is past her use by date. Time for a change please away from Caro's tired opinions and click bait "journalism".

A few years ago Wilson attacked Eddie for mocking a disabled woman who tossed the coin at a Swans match. Eddie was not aware at the time that the woman was disabled. Yet Wilson chose to mock the man who tossed the coin at Marvel for the North V Fremantle match during "Good Call, Bad Call" - just showing her double standards yet again. She is a misandrist of the highest order unless the men are from Richmond.

McRae was being honest, and talking accountability, what's happening at his club and his own confusion, even exasperation at what is happening considering how fit they are... physically. Expecting him to deliver accolades to the opposition in the circumstances is drawing on too long a bow, Caro ...apologies for the pun... Cut the bloke some slack. Your sensationalism/click-bait criticism/headline came across as rather petty.

It's probably why they won the premiership last year.

Fly is excessively genial and couldn't bring himself to publicly scold the attitudes (or whatever) of the players, and so kept referring to himself as needing to review his performance. In fact, he opened the press conference by revealing that the playing group were allowed to 'stew,' in waiting longer than usual for the after match review. As this 'stewing' hurt Fly more than them, he couldn't wait to publicly reveal that he didn't mean it -- which is being too soft, IMO.

Caro is so far past her used by date she's like a month old bottle of milk that looks like it's been in the sun all that time. By the way Caro the botox didn't help.

Confecting disrespect and assuming bad faith by Caro. What's missing in this clip is that McCrae is being asked about Collingwood's performance. He is NOT being asked about the quality of the opposition. To display a small clip like she did - make the claim she does - and then say "Trust me, that's how the press conference went" - no Caro I DON'T TRUST YOU, because you are a cheap shot journo who assumes your audience are idiots.

McRae’s presser stood out for how inward looking it was. Compare to credit Hardwick gives to Bulldogs this round, that is par for the course.

Well,,,it’s been a couple of weeks & Caro has not brought to task any other coach for not congratulating their victorious opposition, not Sam Mitchell in round 4. In fact hardly ever do coaches do this in the post game. Does Caro ever ask questions in these pressers. Shocked is being disingenuous. Where was Caro when Dimma winged about playing at Docklands while her beloved Tigers were flying high. Time to retire, Caro. Just making things up doesn’t cut it anymore. Ask Hutchie.

I loathe Collingwood but I got no issue with their coach not praising us. That's our coach's job.

Because Kane Cornes is a simpleton who has the most basic takes when talking tactics, has that many people who despise the fact that they have to hear him at all, and intentionally says things he doesn't believe and can't back up because of his low IQ just to make a hot take. While Fly is a well liked coach who just won the club a flag. What on earth would convince Collingwood to lose their fans and player's support by making that switch.

Caro is right, is bad sportsmanship to not acknowledge your opponent after they beat you and instead say it’s was the mistakes you did that lead to the loss without saying that the pressure and input from the opposition may have caused that.

He said we got the edge in one stat but that sounded more like a backhanded compliment if anything. Wonder if Carro will voice her disapproval about that as well. Im a Collingwood supporter and 2023 was a great year for the club, winning a premiership in some people's thinking as the best Grand final in many years. 3 losses is tough to take absolutely and frustrated by it. I think Collingwood hasn't dealt well with having the target on their back. Is it not a coach's job to take accountability for poor performances. Craig has his way of coaching which got Collingwood a premiership. The list is getting old I'll admit that, but there are younger players trying to break through and they'll get their opportunities. People have the right to their opinions but Caroline Wilson i definitely don't agree with yours

Pies and lions are clearly underdone. Both look to be having trouble with the smaller pre season then other clubs, mixed in with having to play opening round. At least Brisbanes had a bye now though. Richmond have also been done no favours with the draw Questions do need to be asked about why an ex saints player was allowed to umpire a saints game too, not saying that’s why they lost, but it shouldn’t be ignored.

@@BenParsons1995 I don’t think Richmond or Melbourne had to play an opening round before round 1 while half the league got a week off after their flags, don’t think they played 3 games in 12 days either 🤔 Melbournes was a Covid cup anyway, should have an asterisk next to it. Demons also gone out in straight sets for the last few years, wouldn’t exactly call that going ok, unless you prefer to get your wins in march.

His job is to coach Collingwood that’s what he gets paid for, we’re having a bad start to the season I’m pretty sure he’s more focused on trying to get the boys back to their best then talking about another teams performance. Grow up Caro seriously. If you want to talk about something talk about the free kick disparity and how an ex Saints player was allowed to umpire that game!

The pies have been overrated for a while and we’re lucky to win the flag last year given the list they had. Usually Craig McRae is good in press conferences but it has all fallen down for the pies and he is probably just feeling the pressure. But everyone should settle down it is only round 3 and they will eventually bounce back.
