From the creatures to the weapons carnivores far north has truly impressed me. I love the fact that this is like a literally like a sequel to the carnivores ice age, But I do hope there would be a new mod like carnivores+ but ice age version. I’d love a remasters version

Ironically, entelodonts were believed to be related to pigs rather than to hippos (their actual modern day relatives)

Hey tormer!How would you describe yutyrannus if you had to design it youself?(the earth yutyrannus) Im a bit stuck since im trying to see hiw to fit it as a capable secondary predator... Thoughts?

I would describe Yutyrannus as a gigantic bipedal predator (9 meters long - 2 tons in weight) similar in appearance to Megalosaurus but covered with feathers. Yutyrannus is an aggressive apex predator that will hunt the largest of herbivores and the smaller carnivores. When hunting time arrives, its preferred tactic is pack hunting behaviour.

Thanks! To make new menu pictures, you must use an image editor like GIMP to open the carnivores Menus which are in HUNTDAT folder, edit them as you want using that editor and save the pictures in TGA format - 16 bits uncompressed

Firstly, make sure to set it in compatibility mode for Windows98. Then, go to game options and choose Direct sound 3d for audio driver and, for video driver, choose Direct 3D or 3DFX Glide (with 1024x768 resolution for this one).

@@ideaguy3667 in game options, you can choose a particular key to do that. For example, i use W key to move forward, S to go backward, A key to do step left and D to do step right. Also, there is an option called "Strafe" (i use E key for that) which makes you to move in a diagonal way if you hold that key while walking forward... or if you simply move with the mouse while holding that key, you will move to the right or to the left!

Oh so I can kill or trianklise the diprotodon with the chop shot with only 2 shots

Previously, you should set compatibility mode for Windows98 in the exe file. Then, in game options, choose either Direct 3D or 3DFX Glide in video driver (set resolution 1024 x 768 if you choose this last option). Also, in sound driver choose direct sound 3D. Make sure to close any app during gameplay.

You can't use them with the keyboard? This is an engine issue by the way. If you equiped all weapons in a hunt, you have to use all the weapons and when they're empty, you will use the last weapon.
