Vista was great!! Only thing we noticed was some carpets are ready for replacing, but we hear she is going to dry dock in January so I'm sure she'll get the new paint job and get back to sparkling-looking! Wishing we had a chance to check out the IMAX but we ran out of time. :-(

It is sooo hard dropping off my babies. I have one dog, Delilah and three cats Andrea, Azriel and Reign. Honestly the cats take it in stride but Delilah has separation anxiety. She gets upset when I go to the store. My heart aches when I leave her. Anyway, looking forward to this cruise series! Hope you enjoyed it! ~ Inge 😸

Thanks so much for the comment, Inge! Yeah it is hard. Ours have separation anxiety as well but on drop off they're too nervous to unsure to think about that so they go along with it.. they both seem to get picked up a lot by the staff so that helps them I'm sure. Thanks again!

Great video! I LOVE that Cassandra your Alchemy Barista was on your cruise! I remembered her name before you guys even mentioned it! I loved how happy she looked to see you! Those drinks looked amazing! What was happening in the deck when you guys said it was crowded? Your food looked yummy too! Looked like an amazing first day! Ohh I enjoyed seeing the Disney Cruise ship! I hope you all get to go on one of those! Great music for this video also! Thanks for taking us along as always! It was fun!

So glad you enjoyed it!! Oh that was the end of the sail away party on deck. We caught the very end of it. Seeing Casandra again was so fun! And we found out she’ll be on the Jubilee in January so we’ll see her again! Food and drinks were all great! Thanks for the great comment! :-)

Fun vlog! We really enjoyed Vistas sister Horizon. ( where we first found ya'll). Need to go on Vista now, too! The Alchemy bar was our favorite. Jim loves getting those Rum old-fashioneds. I preferred the cucumber drink. Glad to see you had a great time. 😊

So sad to see the Vista leave Galveston, But a bigger and better ship is on the horizon. The Vista was my first cruise this year and it was over 4th of July. It was so much fun, hope you guys had a great time like I did on board the Vista!!

Yes the Jubilee is now in Galveston! We are on the 4th sailing of Jubilee in early January, and our 1st sailing out of Galveston, can't wait! Thanks for the great comment, we loved both the Vista and sister ship, Horizon!

I am going on a two week trip on the dream in January and had my fur baby booked in a pet hotel and spa. I had them booked for months and the closer I get to cruise day I just can’t leave them for that long lol. I’m paying a friend a little over $1600 to stay in my apartment for the two weeks I’m gone just to make sure my baby is as comfortable as possible while I’m away. Makes me feel just a little better but I’ve never been away from her for that long and I’ve had her for 12 years. It’s hard leaving your babies 🐶

JiJi's is probably my favorite Carnival specialty restaurant. I love spicy though. Their Kung Pao is one of the best I've ever had! Weird of me, but the Vista has been my least favorite ship, while her sister the Panorama is my favorite. Actually did a B2B on Vista in 2018 and it was an epic adventure, but I'm not sure I'd sail on her again. That may not be entirely fair though. My frustration was the small public spaces for such a large ship, but over the years I've gotten better at cruising and knowing where (or where NOT) to be when. I wish they'd move the Panorama to somewhere besides Long Beach, especially now that she's fixed. Would love to cruise her again but after twice on the west coast, I'm just done over there. Just not my jam, and the port at Long Beach was a disaster both times on disembarkation, mostly trying to get a ride away from the port. Wish NOLA would get a good ship. Easiest and most fun port ever, IMO. It's so fun running into staff you've seen on other ships! I've had that happen to me twice so far. They at least pretend to remember you ;) I don't know how they do it sometimes, even remembering names on a single cruise.

Ohhhh, and dropping off the babies. I am lucky enough that my mom watches my little beast but I am already anticipating missing her next month for such a long time. I have the naughtiest little black pug in the world and I miss her terribly when I am gone. We are currently battling over the sparkly things coming in the mail lately for my cruise. I have a glittery wrap that she practically mugged me trying to get when it came in.

Interesting to hear your thoughts on Vista.. We will say we noticed that the carpets looked due for replacing and she needs the new livery, which we hear is happening this month? She was ready for a touch-up in our opinion.. One of our favorite ships other than Mardi Gras, was Vista's sister ship, Horizon. We have a Horizon series where we took Andrea's parents on their first ever cruise, and her Mom actually got more comments than us! haha When you check out our older cruise series, you'll run into it. Horizon is still our most watched series, with Celebration 2nd. And that's where we first met Casandra from the Alchemy Bar! We had trouble embarking in Long Beach, huge traffic jam that took an extra hour go get through.. We've enjoyed NOLA. Oh and our most cruised ship (3 times) is the Magic! We have a lot of nostalgia for her! Thanks for the comment! :-)

@@ARCAdventures cruises 15 and 16 are coming up and I have yet to repeat a ship, but all on Carnival. What the heck is it that makes Horizon and Panorama feel so different than the Vista? It wasn't being dated for me, it was practically brand new then. Just some kind of different vibe I guess. I'll be sure to check out your Horizon series. I haven't been on that one yet..it's the only one I'm missing from the Vista Class. In addition to NOLA just being New Orleans, the port itself is also so well run, and there's no long drive from airport to port like many other ports (lookin at you, Galveston). They also have a fantastic luggage service right outside the port that will take your bags to the airport while you toodle around NOLA until you need to be to the airport, then you just pick them up there.

When we cruised out of NOLA this past January, we took an uber from our hotel to the port and we were actually stuck in traffic.. the drive said that was pretty rare, so darn our luck! Have no idea on Vista.. maybe Horizon and Panorama just refined the design? When we sailed Horizon, she was the flagship of the fleet!

Our last cruise was 2019 and my wife and I was wanting to book one this year. We bought a rv in 2019 and have been traveling around. We also now have two dogs, huskies, and looking for recommendations for a kennel.

Leaving our pups to cruise is always the hardest part.. We too struggled with a good kennel but can highly recommend Pet Paradise in Orlando (if cruising out of Port Canaveral). Thanks for the comment! :-)

Yes we ordered JiJi Asian Kitchen on Carnival's website prior to the cruise. We also booked Cucina's for Day 5, which we just released a few minutes ago. :-) Thanks for the comment!
