I love the comparison to 'no shirt, no shoes, no service!' This is not about what you want, or what you believe but about the rules for the establishment! Jay I almost spit out my food though! LOL!!

That intro show that featured all the various bands and music and shows is such a fantastic idea. I don't think i've seen anything like it before.

I’m with y’all! FOLLOW THE RULES!! I think ( just my opinion) everyone should sign something stating that they will follow all protocols and if not they could be ask to leave the ship at the next port. People don’t have to sail if they don’t want to follow rules!! Sorry not sorry!

Hi there Dee and Jay!! I'm in "binge watching" mode since I'm done with another hard work stretch. I see I'm waaay behind, LOL! The show "Activate the Fun" sure did look very informative; what a GREAT idea! And that Rock Revolution show was absolutely amazing; we were blown away by the talent of those performers! Aaaaand thank you, editing Jay for including the actual music of the show; it really brought me back to when we saw the show. I'm with you...y'all, just follow the RULES so we can keep on cruising - wear your mask if that's what is required!!

This video is a few months old but your videos are so good that it was worth a re-watch because our first Carnival cruise (and on the Mardi Gras!) is less than two weeks away and our excitement is skyrocketing. Thanks so much for all the fun/informative videos. We've watched so many videos of the Mardi Gras that it's going to be so very surreal to actually be on it.

Thanks so much! Most of our tips about Mardi Gras were in our original vlog series (which didn't end so well) as well as the preview event vlog that we did back in July! But I'm sure there's still some good info in this redemption series, ha ha... hope you have a great cruise!! :D

Great video! That isn't the Carnival Magic by the way. That is a Conquest class cruise ship, and I would guess that is it the Carnival Liberty since she was not sailing yet and is set to sail from Port Canaveral, although it is still possible for it to be the Freedom, Valor, and Glory.

I would absolutely love a cove balcony. I love being that close to the water. As always, you guy's are great and we love ya!!!

Hi Jay and Dee, this is Aris. You are so right! We have been lucky on our last two cruises, the Miracle and the Pride that 95% of the passengers followed the rules. We saw a few using a drink to linger without a mask, but very few. I hope rules are followed on the Legend on Sunday. Great seeing you back! God bless.

Good on you!! The cruise director even told them how to sip and wear the mask. Some people think if they have a drink they can leave the mask off enirely, look at the sports venues!! I am glad yu are rule followers

I agree with you guys, the rules are there you board the ship you agree to follow said rules, no you don't have to like them but you have to follow them. 2nd im out of Port canaveral in October when we surprise our 16 year old with a cruise on the Disney wish. I will have to post pictures on the Facebook group. He has no idea. Mom almost slipped a few times telling him.

I recently learned that the couch seat flips upside down to form a single bed in some cabins. Looks like that style in your cove balcony 👍🏻(the more you know 🌈🌟)

And the seat under the vanity has a lid that can be removed for storage and flipped over to be used as a tray for room service or to bring it stuff back from the buffet or JavaBlue Cafe, where they have breakfast sandwiches and grab n go stuff the rest of the day

I 100% agree. If they have a mask policy then just do it. Don’t be that guy that looks like a jerk bc he’s not gonna do what everyone else is doing. Plus hello Covid hasn’t and won’t disappear. Let’s just be kind and wear the dang mask. 😷❤️

I was on MG in October and my friend’s 9 year old had to tell a man on the elevator to put on his mask. Kiddo said it and pointed to the sign. It’s amazing how a kid can follow and understand the rules better than an adult.

I 100% agree about the masks. We were on the Mardi Gras last week and I saw several people without masks. I always wonder how they feel when they hear the announcements over and over about certain areas of the ship that are "mask required" areas and there they sit without one. If you don't like it - don't go on this ship! It's not all about YOU and about YOUR personal comfort people!

Oooh, that's super narrow at the end of the bed 😳 Only other cabin I've seen that's worse is the Oceanview cabin the Bliss had open for touring during the inaugurals. You really had to squeeze along the wall in that cabin.

So glad to see you again! Two things: I totally agree with you about following the rules regarding mask wearing. You agree to this when you sign your cruise contract. On a recent Panorama cruise, I was impressed with the compliance in masked venues, so it's disappointing to hear how noncompliant it was on Mardi Gras. Second, the Rock Revolution show on Panorama was MUCH different from what you filmed on Mardi Gras, which surprised me. I thought it would be the same on all ships with that show.

With 20/20 hind sight I wish I would have filmed the cabin that we had as it was big and beautiful. The FAC cabins on the Mardi Gras are roomy as Mom was able to turn her scooter around in it plus, I had a dog crate for Glenna that tucked away under the vanity without blocking anything. Plus the balcony had two chairs and a table (all side by side) on the right side and a potty box on the left with an automated door for us.

I enjoyed getting to meet you both during the embarkation day deck party (I was part of the large 'purple shirt' group). I had a wonderful first time on Mardi Gras. Thanks, again, for the information you provided on the earlier sailings, as it did come in handy.

I was just on Freedom and there were a couple times I’d forget mine and run back…. But everyone seemed rather respectful of the rules! That’s definitely frustrating!

So happy you made your point and I agree with you completely. This is the major reason I will not cruise on Carnival. It's unfortunate that an announcement was not made from the stage that, if people don't follow the rules, they will be asked to leave the theatre.

There was an announcement from an unseen Fun Squad member, then a separate personal face-to-face announcement from Mike Pack himself, as well as a Fun Squad member running around with a backpack full of masks, but they definitely weren't telling folks to leave by any means if they chose to continue maskless... meh... :P

My friend that I’m cruising with in December for Christmas is like that! with his mask! He has to be told everywhere we go to put his mask on! I wear mine. Love your videos.

No time frame as of yet. I believe the mask protocol is still officially on through March 2022, and they would renew as needed.

$15 per day for port parking, so $105 for a 7-day cruise, versus $85 for 7 days of parking with free shuttle from GoPort. If you're looking for speed, I'd say park at the port, but if you're looking to save a few bucks, GoPort has been good for us thus far!! :P

The Mardi Gras was the week before the Escape, during the second week of their B2B2B on Royal/Carnival/NCL. Editing Jay is now just getting to the MG series. He is not a machine. Well maybe late at night, that's why Dee wakes up with a smile. After the MG series, the Escape videos will come out

We usually go in chronological order. We sailed Odyssey 10/31, then Mardi Gras 11/6, then Escape 11/13!! :D

We used to stay at a semi sketchy Quality Inn in the past, and they were okay but not great. I forget the exact name but I’m sure it was near the airport.

My wife and I laughed with the mask comment. This is why we are going on NCL. Not JUST because they require vaccine, but the not knowing if the others are vaccinated and not wearing their mask like you saw in the show. We do say, to each there own, but not when in close quarters. You guys are awesome!

This cove balcony is so stickin cool! Didn’t know this was an option. Did you see any flying fish being that close to the water? My father pointed them out to us on one cruise & then we would see them each cruise! Once you know what you are looking for, they are pretty common in open waters! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃

Totally agree ...follow the rules!

But the truth is, Carnival is cheap cheap cheap. So the majority of people not willing to follow the rules probably can’t afford any of the other cruise lines you mentioned.

Norwegian is a pricy one, and Celebrity definitely is. Sadly, the choice may be follow Carnival's rules or stay on land for many folks, and some have chosen to just ignore the rules completely, both at sea and probably on land as well!! :P
