Carnage from the Biggest Swell of Winter - Western Australia

On this day a large 3 meter swell roared up the coast of Western Australia. It's not often a swell of this size makes it this far North along the coast as the main nucleus of the swells tends to pass through the Great Australian Bight. However, that doesn't mean that there are some locals that aren't keen to dig in and give these waves a crack.
There ended up a fair bit of carnage. A few painful looking wipeouts, a few broken board and a few large barrels made too.
Enjoy.

It was a fun day! They got told to move on pretty quick, no towing allowed at this spot!

Grew up surfing Jakes. Some of the greatest surfers I’ve ever seen lived and surfed there. Most epic take off I’ve experienced anywhere

Just recently visited. Were hell waves on the sets. That's the most powerful point I have surfed.

Awesome to see an Oz left getting charged by the locals in a big swell. As a 58yr old goofy footer living in my beloved Qld, surfing some serious Oz left hand point action is very rare unfortunately. And can I just say, so good to see two in’s getting dropped in on - if you can’t paddle it, don’t friggin surf it especially when the overwhelming surfers in the water are likely locals paddling their home break 😉👍.

Love your content mate. Love that spot too but never have and never will surf there. Too Gnarly for me but a great spot to visit and drink beers watching all the local chargers.

Well, the beginning of the video shows human walking out of the sea with his broken board, in red. Ayyy. Yeah, no dolphins or orcas around - they choose their waves .... :)
