Dirk got bounced or his crappy teams, Duncan would have zero titles without all his help, Robinson, Barry, Kerr, S Elliot, Greene,Leonard, Manu, Parker, etc.Duncan never took over a game let alone a series

This was such an amazing series. If you are Melo's or Dirk's fan, you will love this series. If you are a fan of Kenyon Martin or Josh Howard, it might be painful to watch.

This series wasn't even close. This Nuggets team was so much better than the Mavs team. I remember this Denver team winning against Chris Paul's Hornets by almost 60 points.

I'm a Dallas Mavericks fan.. but this is the best Denver Nuggets line up ever! ...Martin, Birdman, Jr Smith, Melo, Billups NENE and D. Jones ...damn I miss that lineup and they scared the shit out of LA lakers that year

+dave jahoer i wouldnt say that. They pushed them to six with the first 3 games being very close. Nuggets blew them out game 4. Game 5 lakers pulled away. And game 6 the lakers just took it to them

man as a mav fan.... this year marked it for me til about 2013 that nobody could stop Dirk one on one. Big, Small, didn't matter. Dirks mvp year may have been 2007 but his prime was 2009-2013. Hell even at 37 he's still carrying this squad. Gonna be sad when he calls it quits.

I love this Denver's uniform. Unique!

the interesting thing is 05 - 09 those were Melo's Prime Years. He was quick, aggressive, played good defense and shot the ball non stop and played pretty much consistent all the time. I don't know why he has regressing so quickly, maybe, should've stayed with the Nuggets.

I highly disagree. Melo has had some of his best seasons the past few years. He won his first scoring title in 12-13 then had his best all around season up to date the year after setting career highs in 3pt % and rebounds. Before his knee surgery last year he was averaging almost 25 ppg. This year he started slow off the surgery but picked it up with his percentages in the 2nd half. He's still one of the best scorer's in the NBA. He set career highs in assists and was playing the defense of his career this year.

the Knicks are a terrible organization, they contend for 2 or 3 years, then take 3 or 4 years to rebuild. They've been doing this for years, they never build a solid team.

fuck a scoring title, he can't even get his team to the playoffs in the East. He went every year with the Nuggets. Plus he won his scoring title because Kobe had diminished and Iverson was gone. Melo won scoring title with 28.7 ppg but his best was 28.9 ppg in 06 and he had another year where he put up 28.2 ppg. - Melo's best years and best chance at winning a title were in Denver, now he's just an out of shape volume shooter.

***** he's still good, but the Knicks are going to suck this year. D Rose will play good, but Joakim Noah is washed he was coming of the bench so I don't know why everybody thinking him Melo, and D Rose are going to be a big three. Porzingis still needs to develop and they have a First year coach. The Knick will barely make the playoffs.

Dirks been putting the scoring load on his back since the second or third year of his career. If he had the pieces tim Duncan had then dirk wouldve had 6 or seven championships, no lie!

I was at this game. Carmelo's wife Lala got into a fight with some hecklers about 10 rows down from where I was seating. Pretty funny, and it was a awesome game. Dirk out-dueled Melo. But the Nuggets were to good overall that year.

This was Dirk’s best year imo, although he was a monster in 2011, the team was better so they were able to make a deeper run and win the 2011 championship. But if 2009 Dirk had a better team in 2009 he could have had a legendary run just like 2011 or better!!

Dirk averaged 34.4/11.6/4 on 66 TS% this series, and the Mavs still lost 4-1. Jason Terry and Josh Howard both shot under 40%, and Jason Kidd get outplayed by Chuancey Billups,.

Huge mavericks fan since 02-03, one thing I will say is after watching back a bunch of playoff dirk clips. He got bailed out on sooooooo many calls that to me weren’t really fouls. And Josh Howard is the biggest bust in mavericks history besides marquis daniels. They both should have been developed and contributed wayyyyyyyyyy more to that team
