Does anyone know if Carly can force a DPF regen, and/or read the soot content and/or read which component failed failed to cause the DPF to become blocked? I have a scanner that tells me my DPF is blocked, but doesn't tell me which component failed or why it's blocked. (Only just brought the car so i didn't cause the blockage). Going back to the dealer but if Carly can pinpoint the issue i have more information to potentially get a refund if they can't fix it.

This sounds really good, I'm on the market after a CLK (I know it's old but it's the best and as a MB fan I only want the best 😆) so what are the chances I go to a seller and ask the seller permission to connect this Carly? What are the chances that the seller is no tech wizard at all and might be actually scared that I download a virus or tracker or modify all the car settings so a thief can open and start the car without a key? Would you let a stranger connect a device to your car temporary? I wouldn't

I have always taken a portable scanner (e.g., iCarsoft MB V3.0) when buying a used car, even from a dealership. Anyone NOT letting you scan the car for codes (remember, you can have a serious problem without a CEL/MIL) doesn't get my money. If I am selling a car, I'm happy to let the potential buyer use MY scanner.

Question, do you think this tool will be able to remove a battery warning on my cls 350 2006? I bought it second hand recently with full service books and the battery was replaced at a local mechanic instead of a Mercedes dealership. There's nothing wrong with the battery at all but it's annoying to have the battery warning everytime I start the car so I'm hoping this would be able to get rid of it rather than for me to take it to Mercedes and charge me alot.

Pretty sure new batteries need to be reset, S the car doesn’t instantly know you’ve got a new battery

I was exited at first but seems like it’s actually worse than some OBD adapters. I would get a OBDLink MX2 with super fast refresh and compatibility with numerous apps.

Carly is a scam. I ordered the premium option with smart mechanic and they responded that I need to buy the scanner again even though the web store. Says the scanner is free. I wrote to support and they just send a canned response. Avoid Carly

Should be an option in the dash clusters, constant lighting or somthing. this keeps the sidelights on however.

Hello good day!! Quick question! I have a 2010 c63 recently my Navi has been acting up it works for about 5 seconds then a message pops up on the screen saying "DRIVE UNAVAILABLE" it started doing this after I tried installing a radar detector tapping into the connections where the rain sensor is connected. The whole command system has been acting really slow and turns off randomly while driving Wondering if I screwed up the whole hard drive? Or what might've happened? Can you please help?!

Yes it sounds like you have broken it, it needs to be scanned to see what fault codes appear.

No it wont, you possibly (depending on what has been specced) activate it via the Engineering mode. check my NTG4 video on how to do this.

Did you not listen to the guy @ 12min 15sec into the video? Customization/recoding/enabling hidden or turned off features which are available on other vehicles, is NOT supported for Mercedes Benz vehicles due to the complexity of the coding.

Do you know how I can gain access to coding? Such as DRL brightness etc.

You cannot with this device, That was a selling point as Carley Advertised it as a car coder also, but it does not support Mercedes, so if your looking for that, there are options out there that will allow you to code, they are $100 and up and are via OBD

Heads up - different vehicle (Range Rover/BMW) - but customer service was, in my experience, terrible. Full of promises to "..definitely fix this for you as soon as possible..." but really of very little help in my case. It turned out the device wasn't compatible for that vehicle, despite being assured that it was. At least it works fine on second vehicle (Nissan).

Does the Carly App work with other Elm 327 compatable devices?

There is no OBD or even scanner will be able to work on mercedes since 2021/2022 since merceds locked their ECUs on all their car and I have Carly and many other scanners and their providers says this on their websites. Too bad.

Carly don't tell you about the yearly subscription which is not cheap

You can do this in your cars dash cluster, you dont need any diagnostic tools.

It was and is a bad buy, bought it to code, disabling the start stop system, the coding menu is not present, so coding is not possible. Furthermore, it concerns a one-year subscription, after 1 year you pay the full price, no discounts.
