This video takes a look at the idents from Carlton Television and the logos from Carlton UK Productions, Carlton Video/Home Entertainment and Carlton Screen Advertising. Carlton Television was founded in 1985 three years after Carlton Communications was founded. After failing a take over bid for Thames Television in 1985, they were more successful in 1991 when they won the London Weekday franchise from 1993. Carlton merged with Granada to form ITV plc on 2nd February 2004.
