Carlton ITV1 - Continuity - ITN News - 31-12-2001
From Carlton (Central) East Midlands - Nothing too exciting but we get to see special '2002' idents and xmas pres is still running. Even the weather dept is at it! Fat Club and the ITV Pantomime is trailed and the format of the one-off Surprising Stars ended up in Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
Still have a soft spot for Carlton's star idents - they packed a punch on our 32" widescreen set with Telewest Active Digital, especially the blue and purple versions....
And Jimmy Young gets a new years honour!

Sir Jimmy Young died on 7 November 2016 at the age of 95. That was actually the same day as my Grandad's funeral - he died on 17 October that year at the age of 82.
I went to Disneyland Resort Paris once. That was _way_ back when my parents were still together (they separated in 2006, and the divorce was finalised in 2011) and Eurostar was still running from Waterloo.
