    Some seemed to be confused. The standard rule is touch move. In *some* blitz events, they elect to use "clock move" instead. That was obviously not the case here (and normally isn't in FIDE events).

    Yes, it is only after you have hit your clock that the move stands. Watch some of the others, and you will see them pick up a piece that they have already let go, simply because they had not yet hit the clock. In blitz the move is only completed as stands after the player has hit the clock. It is different than standard-rated events.

    Guys, I know it seems cheap on Savchenko's part, but Carlsen did indeed break one of the rules of chess. By letting go of the piece then touching it again to move it to a different square, he violated an extension of the touch-move rule. If Carlsen hadn't hit his clock, then the game would have continued after Carlsen rectified his error, but that was impossible after he hit his clock. That made Carlsen's move disqualifiable because unfair time was counting down on Savchenko's clock.

He could have even snagged the rook uncontested there towards the end but passed. No my friend, Magnus' mind was elsewhere on this day.

    Not in blitz, since the move is determined by hitting the clock, rather than touching the piece. In regular time controls, you have to move the piece that you touch, which is what is known as "touch move."

    Carlsen played Kd4 and tried to change his move. Savchenko correctly pointed out that he let go of the king and could not change his move any more. Carlsen resigned because the next move for Savchenko would be Bf2+ and Carlsen would lose his rook. This would be a totally lost position, so Carlsen resigned.

    @chessmassi thats a tournament rules unless carlsen didnt drop the king he can still place it to the right square that so called touched move in chess rules... Time used only to determined how fast the player think with brilliant moves... In this game its blitz

  • @iloveihop07
    @iloveihop0712 жыл бұрын

    when you let go of your piece, no matter what type of chess you are playing (talking about tournaments here, not friendly games) that is your move. realizing you made a losing move and attempting to change it is against the rules. you think, move, hit the clock and your opponent does the same. no variations in that :)

    No, only after the clocks begin does that matter. If you have to fix a piece onto its correct square during the game, you simply say "J'adoube," or "I adjust." And keep in mind, there is no real "Touch Move" rule in place in blitz chess. Your move is completed when you have hit your clock.

    It's called touch-move, if you touch a piece you HAVE to move it (unless it's illegal to move that piece), it doesn't matter if you've hit your clock yet or not.

    +Wilstib Bonillo Carlsen let go of his king on a square where it was lined up with the rook on the diagonal. If Savchenko checked Carlsen with his bishop, he would win the rook. Carlsen saw this immediately after he let go of his king and moved it to another square. Savchenko pointed it out, and the arbiter decided that Carlsen had to play his original move. After this, Carlsen resigned, as he then had no hope of winning.

    Carlsen (o cara da direita) fez um movimento que não é permitido, que é soltar uma peça e move-la novamente, então o Savchenko (o cara da esquerda) ganhou automaticamente.

    las reglas son para todos igual y punto... carlsen soltó la pieza por apuro de tiempo y eso es merito del rival!!! sinó jueguen solamente partidas pensadas largas y listo!!! Estoy de acuerdo con Savchenko.... reglas son reglas!!!

    Tienes razón, cabe destacar tambien, que si hacía el movimiento que iba a hacer perdía la torre en el siguiente movimiento, por lo tanto si tiene consecuencias muy grandes.

    +Gerardo León +Gerardo León Busquen el video "Nakamura chess blitz" y ponganlo en el minuto 9, el juego es contra Savchenko y el muy santito hace el mismo tipo de jugada que le reclamó a carlsen en este video y Nakamura, como todo verdadero buen maestro, le dejó hacer el cambio.

    Mere pescao. Busca el siguiente video "GM Nakamura (2879) - GM Savchenko (2684), Amazing Bltz game, Dubai 2014" en el minuto 2:31 Savchenko hace una jugada ilegal y Nakamura para el juego en vez de seguir jugardo "como todo verdadero buen maestro". Las reglas son las reglas y Carlsen hizo el error. Si fuera un juego amistoso si se pueden ignorar, pero esta gente esta jugando por $. Ese es su trabajo. Es facil hablar como fanatico. Si tu fueses el que estuviera jugando contra Carlsen lo mas seguro te acoges a las reglas.

    Idk, I think it was because he let go of his king already then moved it again and the guy was like "that's two" and Magnus was doing those intense faces and that even more intense game ended because of that ;-;
