Let's be real, he found a way past an out of form Rafa during a poor 2 year stretch, and against an injured Rafa. Rafa had smoked him their last go round in 2020. As a champion does he took advantage the circumstances. Novak is a force of nature and his tie breaks are the best of the big 3. Congratulation to Alcaraz ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ His drop shots are amazing~~~
I hope we will have a match like that!
Given the poor form Djokovic was in then (coming back from the AO ordeal and a long forced hiatus, losing to Vesely, ADF, and then losing at home in Belgrade) and still made it this close, I can only see him winning if he is fit for this match

He was not in poor form, clearly. He would win Rome the following week, lose to Nadal in the RG semis, and win Wimbledon.

This is insane victory.. 🎉🎉
So fortunate to be alive in this era and have their 2nd meeting ahead in Roland Garros.

Podrá ganar en 3, 4 o 5 sets o podrá perder en 3, 4 o 5 sets. Porque la bola de cristal no predice el futuro nunca.
Even if the match won by Carlos but Djokovic showed a character and he is the most experienced, talented, skillfull, determination, strong minded person but credit ultimately goes to Alcaraz carlos
In this match Alcaraz had full support from the crowd which plays big role in changing the momentum of the game. Novak as usual was fighting both Alcaraz and crowd simultaneously. This match was close and could have gone to either side.

Alcaraz is much better today than a year ago, and yet he won. Djokovic will have a very difficult match, but anything could happen. 60/40 for Alcaraz.

Those who are saying Alcaraz in 3 are Fedal fans who don't wanna see Novak become the GOAT with his 23rd Grand Slam title. What they don't know is Novak takes things personally, like Michael Jordan.
Wasn't this like one of Djokovic's first tournaments back after being banned for half a year?

@@savsav5264 Still, he was banned for a good amount of time. So he could have still been rusty and not in tip top shape. This Roland Garros match is gonna be intense. I think Novak's taking it though. I can't see it in 3, so either in 4 or 5. Most likely 5 I think.
In this narrow victory, we saw 87 shots from Alcaraz and 7 shots from Djokovic. What a realistic depiction of what happens on the tennis court.

Mostro totale. La più letale palla corta della storia. Colpi vincenti in ogni posizione. Padronanza del gioco a rete. Una condizione fisica eccezionale. La testa di chi è destinato ad essere numero uno per gli anni a venire. Se la testa tiene questo è imbattibile.
