He was such a spiritual singer. I heard him many tjmes at the Met since 1959 and he was beloved by the audience. This is very late in his career, yet he brings so much to the piece.

Con todo mi respeto para Bergonzi, ni comparacion con Kraus ni con el Di Stefano de los años 40-50 del pasado siglo. Nunca Bergonzi canto como cantaba Pippo en sus mejores años.

Y está cantando el aria medio tono más bajo, de manera que la nota más alta es un sol sostenido.

Je crois que sa voix n'est pas adaptée à cet air car trop sombre. Al mio parere, la voce he troppo scura . Non voglio disprezzare questo grande cantante forse molto migliore nel suo repertorio.
