(59 points with a club like Everton that has spent 500m in the past few years is really not that exceptional). David Moyes averaged about the same points in his 11 years in charge with about a 10th of the budget.

Real Madrid in the first half of a Champions League match and in the second half of a Champions League match are a completely different team.

His approach is he doesn't suppress his players with the details like do this and that on the pitch, or aka a system of play. Instead, he gave the overall game plan and asked the players to execute the plan using their talents, skills, ways, and ability to perform freely. That is if what was written in his book is true.

Fantastic game from Real Madrid yesterday thanks to a fantastic coach like Carlo Ancelotti.

I'm a Liverpool supporter (my family is Irish so Celtic are my 2nd team). This man beat us in a CL final. Also managed Chelsea and Everton two teams I hate... but I LOVE this man. Pure class and a legend of the game

It's the first time Carlo has ever won at CP in 4 attempts. He'll be happy with that. Celtic couldnt have done much more, really had a good go at Madrid and like he said got lucky with the post. As well as Celtic played , Madrid held firm, weathered the storm and ran out deserved winners. They defended really well under sustained pressure and that's why they are the best club side in the world. No one can argue with 4 from the last 7 champions league trophies. Madrid are the best , most successful side in a generation. That Celtic were able to hold their own and more for so long is credit to Ange, Nicholson and the 20 players he's put together in 3 windows. 3-0 isnt nice to see in black and white. The game itself wasnt that black and white. Both sides deserve credit for playing the type of game they did, and in the manner of how it should be played for the spectators. Hopefully Celtic can take encouragement from that performance going forward. Madrid are the finished article, Celtic aspire to being able to compete with the likes of Madrid

Madrid toyed with Celtic in the second half. Truth is, they went there with the intent of picking up 3 points. That was it. I've seen a load of comments from Celtic fans saying had they scored first, it could've been so different... To an extent, they're correct. Madrid would've upped the tempo earlier, and scored more than 3. Celtic will NEVER compete with the top European sides. They may occasionally shock one of them, but their level is the Conference League. That's the fact of the matter. If Celtic can reach a level of being a threat in the Europa League, then that's success.

Iam looking too the furniture like in one more year a head if we can keep theses players and play football like ang is teaching them as they are all still young players with the excitement of building players as well wee will won this Cup again. Carlos no daft, let them go mental for as long as it takes to tire out, then take control. Rode there luck a little, Celtic could have scored a couple, bit I reckon that was his tactics, ride out the intense fist half, half hour then take control, spread the game and make celtic work hard and then open them up, worked perfectly, thought celtic played amazing throughout, other than the wee spell where madrid scored the two goals back to back. Good game to watch

It didn’t sound as loud as Ibrox on European nights but as someone who goes to games the atmosphere is usually better in person than on tv. Palace fan btw.

Is everyone just obliged to say it's a great atmosphere at Celtic Park even if it isn't that much better than a lot of other european clubs. Seems like I'd be fairly pissed off if I was a Celtic player or fan at constantly being patronized like this

I've been to a few big games at Celtic Park, Milan, Barca etc but the atmosphere at the Real game was completely off the scale and as Kroos said, it's a very positive but partizan environment. Maybe we would do better if opposition players didn't quite enjoy it so much.
