"Carlisle" Late Night (A Great Night For Class 90s) 09/11/23

Its been four year since I did any filming on Carlisle Station at night.
I said the last time it would be doubtful if I would do it again as the class 86 were due to go.
Anyway as the RHTTs were about I decided to give it another go and was pleased what I got to see.

Loved the traction you captured there thank you for recording. Great seeing the 90's. Got a chance in the last years on the Anglian line out of Liverpool Street riding behind these.

Great locos the 90s which should still be working out of Liverpool Street I think, and the 86 going up and down the WCML. But most people would disagree with me I'm sure. Thanks David for your interest in this video. Mike.

Blimey, this brought back some memories from back in the day when I did this sort of thing myself. Back then it was classes 81, 82, 85, 86, 87, 47, 40, 31, 25, and a class 08 busily shunting in station limits. Looks like you had a great night.....

Oh yes they were bloody fantastic days Julian which I remember so well as I was in them days collection stock, you would get the numbers of the coaches, the look up the line and there would be another train waiting to come into the station. GREAT DAYS indeed. Yes I had a ok night last week. Cheers Mike.

Enjoyed it very much. Never realised there was so much traffic about at that time of night. I couldn't get over the length of some of the trains, I reckon there were 44 on the empty cars. If I lived near Carlisle I would be down there often. Rubbish day and night where I live, Sheffield. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers Albert for your interest in my video which is very appreciated, yes I have to agree with you Sheffield hasn't got a lot going for it these days apart from the very few freight trains that pass through and this time of the year the RHTT. I remember it was a great station in the 70s and 80s and the 90s with the HSTs. Cheers Mike.

Hello Mike, I think tonights traffic made for the most interesting video possible on todays railway. Its nice to see the 325s again, after Crozier took the work off them and the 90s are always good to see I miss the 86s, but its nice to see the 88s , they seem good performers (even though they always look like theyve had an accident 😊😊) and the empty car train was impressive too .As was your Chips , beans, and sausage 😋 . Altogether very well filmed, and thanks for that . Made my evening, 👍👍 Thanks again for this Video 😊 ATVB to you Ian

So I'm sure you know about RTT and now RTT put the headcodes on so that will tell you the times of the trains passing through the station as the information I give on my videos is ok for most people. If the train was running late I would have given that information. Thank you for saying it was a great production, regards Mike.
