My pleasure - I´m glad you like it. I honestly had some doubts as to whether this video is good enough to upload. The weather was not ideal at all with lots of wind and dark clouds. Actually, I wanted for this video blue sky but at the moment the weather here is just too volatile.

MihHunter, там, если не заповедник, то частная территория - с ружьем долго не походишь. Люди и берут бинокли от того, что смотреть можно, а трогать нельзя.

Шикарный прибор. Резкость - порезаться можно ))

That's a nice pair of the claasic 7x50 B by Zeiss. This looks like an 60-70s model, due to the design of the rubber armouring and the lacking of the modern coatings (GA*T). The latest coatings were introduced in the late 90s, and this binocular- with it latest optical interpretation by Zeiss was the last Porro prism binocular in their production range untill 2017, if I'm not mistaken. Since 2017, Zeiss has no longer any porro prism binocular in their product line. Despite it's marine ideology - this binocular is only splash proof which is strange for a true marine instrument - so it can't be submerged into water, making it very unpractical in true marine environment. I wasn't greatly impressed with the foldable rubber eyecups - which can be an issue if you wear glasses. I had a unique chance to look through one of this 7x50 BGAT on the control deck of the Queen Mary 2, during my cruise through the Atlantic Ocean, we had a stop at Madeira, and one of the crew members gave me his binocular. He told me that there were at least 10 of them onboard - all comissioned by the ship owner - Cunard. They wanted the best optics for the best ocean liner at the time ))) he-he)) Frankly speaking - I wasn't greatly impressed by the view - being bright, the contrast was only moderate, with quite dull colours. There was a slight distortion with quite visible blurring at the edge of the field - much higher than I expected. I think only 65-70% of the field of view was free from blurring. Chromatic abberations were noticable at the edge with minor in the center, nothing special. On-axis sharpness wasn't mind blowing. They also had other binoculars available on the deck - The Steiner Commander 7x50 performed better when Zeiss in alsmost every aspect, incuding better contrast and wider field of view. And the Fujinon 7x50 FMTR-SX was a true leader with a stunningly sharp image from edge to edge and sensational contrast and clarity. That was rather surprising - taking into consideration that the Zeiss was almost 3 times more expensive. Anyway - a great bincoular for a collection! Would like to have one :))

Thanks for your informative comment! I also think that it is from the sixties, also because it still has the old Zeiss logo. According to the book "Feldstecher" by Hans Seeger, Zeiss binoculars with this logo were produced between 1954 and 1972. Greetings from the Black Forest!

Фуджинон FTMR-SX однозначно один из самых лучших морских биноклей...но этот Zeiss 7х50 намного меньше, легче, короче... его удобней держать, и на нём нет тоннельного эффекта за счёт его широкоугольности и коротких тубусов и который сильно замечается в Фуджиноне несмотря на его 7.30 градуса Fujinon FTMR-SX is definitely one of the best marine binoculars ... but this Zeiss 7x50 is much smaller, lighter, shorter ... it is more comfortable to hold, and there is no tunnel effect due to its wide angle and short tubes and which is strongly noticed in Fujinon despite its 7.30 degrees

Ganz so stimmt das nicht was du schreibst! Zeiss ist wenn alles Top ist besser als Steiner! Und wenn Zeiss schlechter sein soll,dann ist es fehlerhaft! Die Klarheit von Steiner KANNST VERGESSEN. Meines ist sowas von scharf dass du von 100 Meter Entfernung auf der Mauer die Körnung vom Antsrich siehst!

Великолепный бинокль, вижу резкую, светлую, натуральную картинку, достаточно компактный и с хорошей аппертурой в 50мм. Засматривался на него на ебэе, достаточно редок и дорог. Задумываюсь о покупке румынского IOR bi 7x40 1990 года выпуска

IOR 7x40 - очень хорошая пара биноклей, а также очень удобная. Но я знаю только старые версии до 1990 года. Видимо, есть и версии в оливковом цвете: www.holgermerlitz.de/six7x40.html

У меня есть 7-кратный. Типичный военный бинокль восточного блока...Желтоватая картинка с хорошим разрешением в центре. Край поля не резкий. Картинка на мой взгляд уступает нашему Б7х30 несмотря на большую апертуру у румына. Резкость на оси выше в БелОмо 7х42. 10-кратник более редкий, но картинка в целом похожа, окулярное поле зрения на всех вариантах достаточно узкое - менее 60 градусов. Эффект "трубы" присутствует. Для коллекции можно взять )))

@@Paracellum10 кратник думаю, ничем не лучше БПО 10х42. Устал я от крупных бинов, для коллекции взял IOR и недорого 130 евро. У меня не Б7х30, а БПО 7х30 как у Блэк Фореста, вес его полноразмерного как у биноклей х10-х15...уж лучше их брать, да и вогнутая линза окуляра при моих -4 на одном глазу в БПО даёт разновеликие изображения. Вроде небольшой бинокль, но громоздкий и тяжёлый, плохо продумано крепление крышки окуляров, при переноске снимается с них, у бинокля 94 года уже отлетели крышки объективов, а ведь он всё время дома. В IOR не знаю разницы в разных буквенных индексах, ....я взял BI Блэк Форест упомянул среди любимых бинов и Б12х40...интересно что у него за вариант и будет интересно посмотреть изображение. У меня Хронос 90-ых изображение резкое, прозрачное, нейтральное, прекрасный бин...но...Геодезия его делает отсутствием дисторсии

@@BlackForestRecon hi! Nice to know that the EDF is in top of the list. I have been very close to buy EDF's in ebay.de but i have waited. For the price they cost make sense to inspect them or have a return policy. So the wait will continue.... and in the meantime i enjoy the DF's

@@c.f.532 The whole list actually consists of my top binos. But even that changes very fast. Keep on looking for EDFs at other sources than ebay.de. I got my EDF for less than 300 Euros at egun.de. And quite recently there was an EDF in obviously good condition at ebay-kleinanzeigen.de for less than 300 Euros. Greetings!

@@BlackForestRecon thanks!. I follow kleinanzeigen every day and i contacted the seller of the 300 eur EDF bino, but i received a warning from ebay kleinanzeigen notifying me about fake account. After that, the item dissapeared. I will take a look in egun.de. as i am in DK. I prefer paypal instead of bank transfer.

Oberwieden - im Frühjahr ist alles voller gelber Blumen..

Can anyone help me please I’ve just bought a pair of “Made in Germany Carl Zeiss 7x50B” binoculars They have rubber eye cups and rubber protectors on the objective lenses. When I look through them they have a yellow hue/tint which I wasn’t expecting. Does anyone know about this please.

The yellow tint may be there to enhance the contrast (these are actual naval binoculars) but to be honest: I´m no expert on binos of that era. Greetings!

@@volgograd3480 Не знаю на счёт надёжности, пользуюсь Юконом 7×50 с 2008-го года и всё ок. Картинка к стати одинаковая а то даже и лучше. Зарубежные бинокли плохо переносят холод.
