Carl Running to 'We've Lost Dancing' song in movie, Triangle of Sadness

Музыка

I wanted to watch the scene of Carl running to this really good song longer in the movie, Triangle of Sadness (2022) directed by Ruben Östlund.
To better understand what this scene is about you should watch 'Triangle of Sadness,' I really enjoyed it.

the ending gave me chills with that shot of him running like this primal energy and the ambiguous nature of it all, both thrilling and melancholic in a way like searching for some sort of meaning in our modern existence amidst all its complexities and faults there is human connection to be found (?) in the context of the film not knowing what happens to Yaya, whether Carl is going towards them or running away. it just leaves you to think about a lot

My interpretation of the situation is that he's running to stop Abigail telling Yaya they were sleeping with each other. The survivors have found out the hotels on the other side from the guy selling stuff and there getting off the island. He wasn't fussed when they both left if anything he was happy he didn't have to break the bad news, he had his feet up waiting for her to come back and get his dick sucked. Seemed like he really didn't give a fuck about Yaya and now he's literally running to save his life. Middle aged toilet cleaner or marry the famous and gorgeous Insta model, getting paid to go on exotic holidays and free 5 star cruise ship vacations all over the world? Tough one. I guess it shows how desperate both men and woman are to have that good life and choosing a partner isn't always about being soul mates and in love but surviving and having the least hardship in life and vice versa the person in power can buy attractive things or people

It's pretty clear that Yaya dies after she tells Abigail she could work for her. She hesitates to kill her, but those words trigger her because the one time she felt like a leader was coming to an end, and she was just going to become another slave to a rich person. Pretty eerie that the actress who played Yaya died in real life after filming the movie, though.

What I also liked about this ending song aside from Carl's running was that it started right as Abigail was walking towards Yaya with the rock and crying, so it made it more poignant watching Abigail weighing her choices in a fight between what she knows to be right versus all she'd lose from her time on the island if she didn't kill Yaya. The internal struggle there was so well displayed and brilliantly acted. Everyone in this movie really did a wonderful job, it will sit in my memory for a very long time.

If she killed yaya it wont matter anyway, CARL running vigorously was probably because they finally discovered they're not the only people on that island. But carl realized that Abigail might kill yaya if they discovered something on the other side of the island to hide the truth from them. So he's just stopping that from happening but I think yaya was murdered and abi will go to jail because of that.

First: splendid movie. didn't have much hopes before watching it but came out really excited and very thoughtful. The different ways that you can interpret both yaya's fate in abigail's hands and him running after all of the ironies and parodies of our corrupted society make the end a perfect one. Plus the movie in general is very astute and funny when proposing several reflectiosn of our modern morals. Second: the song got stuck in my head for over a week after the ending and listening to it again makes me come back to that scene.

I really love this song, been listening to it for days now! I thought the ending to the film was incredible, too. Many people reflect on the fates of Abigail, Yaya and Carl, but the thought that really stuck with me after the film was something like "everyone uses their abillities to their fullest to get power in the systems we've created, and those who have the power are willing to kill to keep those systems in place". In a sense, Abigail and some rich Davos douchebag are the same, they're just in different "places" within the system we've created, i.e. those with money have power. If suddenly being able to catch clams and fish were the new measure of power, other people would likely be at the top in that new system, but in the end it would still be a system where some people hoard all the nice things and are able to command others what to do. I don't know what to think about this... other than brilliant film and fantastic choice of music!

Oh God, i love and at the same time hate such films that make you feel pain about the past again. This ending where Carl runs through the jungle scratching his face, he runs through the mountains, where it is extremely dangerous to run at such a speed, and he absolutely does not care about it, because he knows what Abigail is capable of, and he loves Yaya and is ready for anything for her sake, and this song is so good, I love this genre - all this caused me such a strong internal emotional response that I could not hold back my tears and now I reproach myself for not having fought in the past for the love of my beloved ex girlfriend, like Carl does in that final scene... I just let her go, but I should have tried to run after her through the pain, like Carl does, but it's already so late... Let me give you advice - it is better to do and regret than not to do and regret all your life.

Abigail definitely killed Yaya. Triggered by her saying she could work for her. Because out there she's the cleaning lady. Here she's the captain. The German lady got their attention and everyone found out there's a resort on the island and Carl is running to stop Abigail from telling Yaya about them because he's not going to keep selling himself for fish when he gets back to the outside world

You're not far off what Östlund says, except for the fact that Carl likely believes he knows Abigail was going to harm Yaya. Östlund said, “For that shot, I told Harris (Dickinson), ‘You have been on the beach camp with the others and the beach vendor has arrived there. And maybe the beach vendor has told you that on the other side of the island, in the direction that Yaya and Abigail have gone, there is a resort hotel there.’ And Carl realizes that for Yaya and Abigail, the whole situation maybe will be dangerous. He feels like something bad could happen, so that is why he’s running like that, bloody and frantic.”

@@xClydeHDyes she did. Abigail said it herself in the interview. She said her role "-Abigail" smashed Yaya head just like when they smashed the donkey head. So she dead. And she killed her because of what Yaya said. Yaya last statements was reminded her that she will go back to her normal life the "toilet manager". That's why she killed her. Carl running was too late. Yaya would have been dead by the time he got there. And now they already know it's a resort so Abigail killed Yaya for nothing and she would have either ended up in jail or Carl might cover for her.

What was chilling here is that Carl's running seems futile especially if he's going towards where Yaya and Abigail were, like a delay or a shroud from the inevitable
