It's challenging taking care of these pups. My mama Chihuahua died 3dsys after giving birth to 5 babies. I have been bottle feeding for over 3 wks to all of them. I'm very tired. But I promised the mama dog I will take care of them for you.. it's going good. The runt has been harder to take care of but he's doing better

Thanks! Extremely helpful. We were suddenly blessed with a litter of six and a mother that passed away after one day of giving birth. We had the supplies and materials from the vet, but this was the practical help we needed.

A sheer delight. What happy chappies......they'll all grow strong and healthy.

One thing I would add is once they get to about 1.5 -2 weeks old and taking in more formula it’s important to burp them after as well . There are videos on this . Even stopping between feeding and burping relieves the gas . Like you would burp a baby or you can hold them upright against your chest and rub their sides gently . Formula ratio should always be 1 part formula to 2 parts water . If you find the milk is too thick add a little extra water . Formula can be clumpy ... for me I Prefer to add the already warmed water to the formula . It helps with clumping .... Great video !

I've bottle fed a calf before, oddly enough it was one of the best calves in our herd. Even beating most of the natural born and raised calves.

People should like the video cause it's helping you take care of the most cutest puppies

I like the way you hold the puppy in the proper position when feeding - on its belly, not its back. I would recommend that you also roll up a hand towel to let the pups rest their arms on while feeding. Otherwise, their little arms flail around, they don't know what to do with them.

The arm 'flailing' is supposed to be to stimulate their mothers' milk I think. That's how it is in cats at least.

I do dog rescue and really appreciate this detailed introductory information on caring for neonatal puppies. I have yet to be called on to this since I have only encountered puppies who are still being cared for by their mamas. But this will be helpful just in case. Thanks again!

If work at the Animal pet shop if the then will test each other Foster Mother to see if her milk is safe that another suggested ok then if her milk is safe to feed the puppy
