She didn't give birth to him. She and her partner adopted him after his mother died, giving birth to him. They didn't plan it. And then she got sued by one of her former patient. So yeah, have a little sympathy

They got emergency foster care because she is a doctor and her partner is a firefighter. They got the baby the same night they decided to adopt him.
