Drummers have definitely adapted to BPM and rhythms of today's music. Compared to electronic music from the 70s (very fee drummers could do it, Harald Grosspkf could) and the 80s utilized drum machines. so you can tell that the times have changed.

+Lil Little do you have anything i could read about this evolution? it sounds interesting. especially cuz i really appreciate the electronic music that's come out as of late that uses live drums like shigeto or tycho. Any others you'd recommend actually? you familiar with Can by the way?

I'm sure a lot of people that watched/listened to the music video think its all done on a laptop. To play live and precise enough to sound like that is tops! I appreciate electronic music, especially when done with band and instruments.

ha. everything can be oversimplified to that. we all know it's not a masterpiece that shows the entirety of human development but it's an enjoyable piece that requires skill, practice and dedication to a significant degree.

It really is a challenge to transform this kind of dance music format to live performance.

One of the finer things to come out of Canada: Caribou.

Dance music gains such a good quality when performed like this... more artists should do it hey :)

It's Roland SP-404, it's a sampling workstation with some build-in effects that he's using.
